Hey Everyone,
Has anyone noticed how bathroom etiquette seems to have gone completely downhill?
One of my modern social pet peeves are women who go into a public restroom, phone in hand, and then proceed to have loud, personal conversations, often with their significant other, WHILE OBVIOUSLY USING THE FACILITIES at the SAME time. I'm not talking about just sitting there and talking. Rather, these women are talking and going the whole 9 yards all at once. I often wonder, "Does it bother the person she's talking to AT ALL?? Because if I can hear her 3 stalls down, I KNOW he can hear her."
Seriously. If I ever get a significant other, he is just going to have to wait in line a few minutes because nature's call will be the first to be answered (and hands washed) before I accept HIS call. And, I would hope he would have enough manners to call ME at a time other than when HE'S in the bathroom!
Tonight there was a woman in the Ladies' Room who was both talking and taking care of business so loudly that I'm pretty sure that the patrons in the Men's Room could probably hear her, too. And that just sets off the troll in ME, because my reaction to such rudeness is to needlessly flush the toilet in the next stall repeatedly while they're talking.
I figure, might as well make it a royal flush.
Now I realize some people will take me to task for this as being childish, uncalled for, and not very Christ-like, but I'm wondering--does this type of behavior bother anyone else?
And guys, do you witness this kind of action too???
I'm guessing men don't have entire conversations while THEY'RE in the restroom, but I could be wrong...
