Well said!....God's grace expressed in the finished work of Christ for us is a great manifestation of His greatness and deep love for us. He will be showing us the " riches of His grace " that is in Christ our Lord for the ages to come.

Ephesians 2:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

There is nothing new or hyper about God's grace. What's new is that finally people are receiving His revelation about grace in these last days. How freeing it is for millions of people! Get in on this revelation and find yourself free in Christ!

Look, I told you to document personal attacks, and you haven't done so. What you presented was lame. That's because I don't attack people. I oppose ideas when necessary, and with you it is virtually always necessary.

All you're trying to do is be divisive. You can't stand the withering heat of my opposition, so you resort to trying to malign me as being filled with malice and slander in order to try to stir up the brethren against me. We've seen it before.

  1. Stir up trouble
  2. Blame it on someone else
  3. Offer a solution
Please put me on ignore and quit trying to stir up trouble.
Let's see;

1. "YOU'RE" trying to be divisive

2. "YOU" can't stand the heat of blah, blah, blah

3. "YOU" try to stir up the brethren blah, blah, blah

Didn't have to look far or hard for proof at all.

"You may have harnessed the energy of the flesh in an otherwise quite genuine desire to honor the Lord Jesus in your life. The flesh, which has its origin in Satan, will go along with you; to survive, it is quite prepared to engage in every form of Christian activity, even though this may seem to honor Christ.

The flesh will sing in the choir, teach Sunday school, preside at a deacons’ meeting, preach from the pulpit, organize an evangelistic crusade, go to Bible college, volunteer for the mission field, and a thousand other things, all of which may in themselves be otherwise legitimate, if only it can keep its neck out of the noose. The flesh will threaten, shout, strut, domineer, sulk, plot, creep, beg, plead, or sob, whatever the situation may demand in the interests of its own survival. By any and all means it will seek to cause every Christian to live by his own strength instead of by the power and grace of the Lord Jesus, and to conclude that doing so is actually a good thing!

The characteristic of the spiritually immature is that they are unable to discern between good and evil (Hebrews 5:13-14), and the baby Christian, like the foolish Galatians, “having begun in the Spirit” still tries to be “made perfect by the flesh” (Galatians 3:3).

We must be particularly patient with those whose lack of understanding allows a genuine love for the Lord Jesus to be satisfied with, and sometimes to be quite enthusiastic about, Christian activities involving means and methods which are heavily contaminated by the flesh. These are more deserving of instruction than rebuke, for they are still in their spiritual babyhood.

.....The flesh will seek to produce the most plausible arguments in justification of its own illegitimate activities, even though these activities are only what the Bible calls “dead works” (Hebrews 6:1; 9:14) and not the “good works” which are truly the work of God. “Good works” are those that have their origin in Jesus Christ, as Christ’s activity is released through your body because you present it to Him as a living sacrifice. You do this only by faith that expresses total dependence, as opposed to Adamic independence."

Apparently you need to learn the difference between attacking a position or doctrine, and attacking or reviling a person.
Many of us need to learn this, including you and me. Sanctification, its a beautiful thing.

I'm not so sure that I agree with this, my friend. I am well practiced in distinguishing the difference between attacking a person and forcefully opposing what a person teaches. I am always open to correction, so if you have some knowledge that I need to hear, I think it is yours to give.

The more I learn the more I understand hyper-grace language.

A christian can do nothing else it is self-justification.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Eph 2:10

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matt 5:16

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
Matt 5:13

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 5:10

Rather than effort or desire to walk in righteousness, there is only apathy.

In the United states, people who are feeding the poor, living morally, going to church, helping the children, teaching a good lifestyle are not persecuted.

Do people who live like this in Britain get persecuted?

No. they are left alone and promoted in this world. Why? because they are, for the most part, doing it out of their flesh and getting creature credit rather than CREATOR credit.

But if one starts teaching that human good is evil in the eyes of the Lord and does nothing in the Christian way of life. And starts to promote HIS grace and HIS divine works through the believer. And HIS righteousness rather than the creatures righteousness.............persecution begins.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Ishmael persecuted Isaac...the one born of the flesh was against the one born from the promise..no self-effort...God did it!

Paul even talks about how those that live from the works of self-effort and the flesh will attack those that are living and preaching from the promise.....they will get persecuted for standing in Christ's righteousness only and not their own....this righteousness of Christ is us is what the Spirit of grace witnesses to.

Galatians 4:28-29 (NASB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise.
[SUP]29 [/SUP] But as at that time he who was bornaccording to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also.

It had nothing to do with self-effort. Absolutely nothing. Complete misrepresentation.

Ishmael persecuted Isaac because he was chosen by GOD to be Abraham's heir.

Don't be upset; I love what you bring to the Table. I see us as being a lot alike -- passionate to the point of slight error. We're at times a little rough around the edges, but that makes us unique, and honestly, our peers respect us for it.

Yes, that was me for many years and yes too...it took a revelation of the Spirit to accept the kind of love that grace unveils. And even when I first heard about God's unmerited love for me that would not be taken away, the enemy sought to steal it away because it was too good to be true. Grace doesn't make sense to the human mind. God really loves us individually, takes an individual interest in each one of us as if we just saved someone from a burning building and was appreciated. God appreciates us like that every day when we wake up. How is that possible? We didn't DO anything to merit such love.

Exactly what Major Ian Thomas described. Thinking the way God thinks is a new venture. And sad to say my many years of being a Christian were much like what is described here. Did all the church things, had the husband and family and church life. Had all the outside things but the inside was never growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I had no idea what else was I supposed to do?? I was doing what I set out to do from what I saw good Christians are supposed to do...Christian husband, Christian family, Bible church., Christian school, part of the membership, went to the meetings, sacrificed my time, Bible study classes that kept teaching the same things about service and sacrifice and duty and being worthy by doing my reasonable service... God had expectations, people have expectations... ultimately what happens to some Christians is - crash and burn.

But the awesome truth is Jesus did all of this for us and God loves His Son so much and wants us to love and magnify the Son in our lives. God knows how to change our hearts and by giving us this love and grace to see what Jesus sacrifice was all about. Then we can love Him and are able to love others. We can't do it ourselves without that revelation of His love through grace.

It is hard humanly speaking to get past the fact we don't deserve it. Everything we know about life is we do good and we get good/we do bad and we get bad. But let me say from personal experience once you crash and burn, you never want to go back to 'doing' the Christian life without the power of the Holy Spirit. When must ask and allow the Holy Spirit to give us a revelation of that kind of love. Then by grace through faith, a change takes place in our hearts. We then see the futility of doing the Christian life without the power of His love and grace motivating and empowering us.

This is not a new fad., this is the gospel preached by Paul and it's why Paul was able to do the things he did for Christ. He really had a love for Christ and could sing in the prison and like Stephen could be ridiculed and killed and still think about his fellow Jewish brothers and sisters when he was stoned. That is all Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Hope meaning solid truth of what is revealed in you) That's why Paul said gladly will I boast in Christ. Without the power of the Holy Spirit's flowing rivers of living water out of your belly... we can't even imagine such faith and love. God is so far away without the Holy Spirit's revelation.

We can do what we are 'supposed' to do, but many like me will crash and burn. Those who have a stronger constitution and higher self worth will be able to do it longer and maybe all their lives here on earth until they meet the Lord. But then they will look back and realize how they missed out on having that joy while they lived on planet earth and while still do the works, but they could have counted for Christ and lasted. And could have brought more people to seek truth by how they loved from a true heart as Jesus loves. They will know us by our love for Jesus and one another.

And also, it is a daily dying to how we used to think. It's a daily learning how to repent of our old thinking and allow the Spirit to change and teach us how to utilize the mind of Christ we have been given when we got saved. (sorry this got soooo long, i got carried away)

And that would be ...Myth 2: Hyper-Grace Preachers are Against Confession

“Hyper-grace preachers say it’s wrong to confess sins. They say confession is a form of unbelief.” Actually, every hyper-grace preacher believes in the power of confession. We say things like, “confession is good for you,” and “confession is healthy.”

But what is confession?

Like the word repentance, confession is a word that has been mangled in the machinery of manmade religion. Instead of bringing healing to the hurting and life to the dead, confession is seen as the cost of admission into the house of grace. “You wanna be clean? Then ‘fess up you miserable sinner! Tell God your dirty little secrets.” But that’s not what confession is.
To confess literally means to agree with or say the same thing as another.

Biblical confession is agreeing with God. It’s verbalizing faith in His goodness and acknowledging your dependence upon Him (Rom. 10:9–10). It’s saying, “God, I believe You are faithful and true and will do all that You promised.”

But some people have a different definition of confession. They think confession is something you must do to make yourself clean, righteous, and forgiven. “I have to review all my sins to receive forgiveness.”

This is a dead work. Confessing-to-be-forgiven is like washing with dirty water. No matter how hard you scrub you won’t make yourself clean.

Faithless confession puts the focus on you and what you have done, but faith-based confession puts the focus on Christ and what He has done on your behalf.

Myth 2: Hyper-Grace Preachers are Against Confession – Escape to Reality

We can confess all the time AND a lot but if we don't believe what God has already told us, our confession is mostly for ourselves. We confess to be forgiven and relieved of our guilt and misery when God already gave us His Son so why are we on the floor crying to be forgiven????

pllllleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssse Lord forgive me!!! I'm sooooo sorrrry and I don't know how I could have been sooooo stupid.... " Your guts are turning inside out at the REGRET and misery felt inside at the stupidity and ruin. There is NO relief from the guilt and remorse. The guilt and sin awareness is infested in our guts.

Will God stop you from feeling this way? No because you have read the Bible and didn't believe your sins have been forgiven as far as the east is from the west. Jesus has taken your sin and guilt and bore them upon His sweet body on the cross. What MORE can He do???

Yet here we are moaning and groaning in our own sin conscience selves not honoring Jesus by accepting that HE already moaned in agony about at the cross for us and on our behalf. SEE JESUS doing all that and allow HIS sacrifice to be enough for God. Then walk on with a deeper appreciation for what He did on the Cross to give us life and power to live for Him now. It is then we will not so easily sin like that again, but should we sin, we again have an Advocate with the Father and we are walking IN that forgiveness aware of Jesus every step we take in our lives., He is nearer than before and goes with us. We have a righteous consciousness or better said a Jesus consciousness. He is the best deterrent for sin. Amen!!

Made me think of this one, again from Major Thomas...

"There are few things quite so boring as being religious, but there is nothing quite so exciting as being a Christian! Most folks have never discovered the difference between the one and the other, so that there are those who sincerely try to live a life they do not have, substituting religion for God, Christianity for Christ, and their own noble endeavors for the energy, joy, and power of the Holy Spirit. In the absence of reality, they can only grasp at rituals, stubbornly defending the latter in the absence of the former, lest they be found with neither!

They are lamps without oil, cars without gas, and pens without ink, baffled at their own impotence in the absence of all that alone can make man functional; for man was so engineered by God that the presence of the Creator within the creature is indispensable to His humanity. Christ gave Himself for us to give Himself to us! His presence puts God back into the man! He came that we might have life - God's life!

There are those who have a life they never live. They have come to Christ and thanked Him only for what He did, but do not live in the power of who He is. Between the Jesus who "was" and the Jesus who "will be" they live in a spiritual vacuum, trying with no little zeal to live for Christ a life that only He can live in and through them, perpetually begging for what in Him they already have!"
