Lung,

A point that has to be made, right here.
You have heard a bit about "Accountability", "Accountability Partners", and "Blocking Software", and you will undoubtedly hear a lot more.
Know, up front, that these are "Band Aids." Useful, initially, but never to be considered true answers to this problem.
The heart of the problem is the heart itself. A change of heart and mindset is needed to get over the addiction once and for all. And only Jesus can make our heart pure. Humility to submit to God's will is important. Its a good sign and a good start that the OP has acknowldeged his weakness before God.

That's how I look at porn....
.... snipped...
Hey We all have our days lol
No offense taken, Kid. However, you might find it interesting to take notice of exactly who were some of the names in that list of "endorsements" I gave. A couple of these were people actually former Biggies in the industry.

You have hit the bull's-eye in your assessment of what it takes to make this permanent.

Thanks Willie T
Lol
Again I do apologize if my attitude toward porn stars was not very lovingly in a sisterly manner
I know God forgives me
I just had a rant on a personal level
God forgives us
But again....I assumed that if a man changes his way of looking at this
Perhaps then it won't be as attractive

Lol
I dunno
I'm not wise or a therapist
I just love Jesus lol
And yes....I do have a guilty conscience when I'm in the wrong
Lol
Forgive my post
All is well
No more porns advice from Sky
Sorry lol
God bless you all
Love you!

Absolutely do not stop saying things as you see them. Although I have some small experience in dealing with this stuff, many people on here, I'm certain, disagree with what I believe to be truths. It ain't no big deal. If we all had it together, correctly, in a neat little package, none of us would ever get off track.

I have got to ask: What denomination or 'church' do you regularly attend? There is extra added benefits when it comes to attitude, conviction and repentence in certain church doctrines. Sadly, a lot of churches prescribe a few rituals, some brush confessions and open repentance under the rug..and some invite you to an altar where other holy spirit filled brethren will not prejudge and will lift you up in prayer so that you can become stronger, spiritually speaking. God knows your heart, your mind and your weaknesses. How dare you continue to think that God is doing "HIS usual thing' by being 'silent on the matter'. GOD is never silent when it comes to one of His own children who are truely seeking repentence! GOD is speaking to you in many ways, but apparently you have your earphones turned up in high volume. The very fact that you even have a conscience is one simple way that you know, internally, that something is NOT kosher between you and your Creator. God speaks through His WORD...you know...the BIBLE. W

I have got to ask: What denomination or 'church" do you regularly attend? A lot of churches do not address open repentance and tend to sweep it under the rug. Some churches require you to do certain rituals. Other churches have open altar calls at the end of the service and you can come forward as the Holy Spirit moves you to lay down your burdens at the foot of the cross and walk away from them. How dare you think that God is 'doing his usual thing by being silent on the matter". God speaks in many ways, but you can't hear Him if you have headphones on. The very fact that you have a conscience means that you know down to your very core that GOD is sending you signals that something is not right. GOD created your mind and knows it very well. God speaks through other holy spirit filled individuals. GOD sends angels and people across your pathway in the nick of time. GOD speaks through HIS written Word, the BIBLE..when was the last time you opened it up and asked Him to help interpret and apply what you read to your life? If any of the above questions are answered with a truthful "NO"....then the ball is in your court. Porno is poison and it will affect what you seek in the future as far as a soul mate. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can quench this carnal addiction. I would suggest also to seek a bible believing and participating churchhouse where you can grow spiritually. It is detrimental to overcoming this.

pwrnJC, I'm sorry, but WHAT THE HECK, MAN!? How DARE I think that God is being silent!? I'm sorry that I DIDN'T KNOW that a strong conscience is a direct result of the Spirit's guidance. Man, I came to this site seeking advice, not MORE COMDEMNATION. Trust me, I give myself plenty of grief already, and I don't need any more from you.

Anyways, I go to a Four-Square church, which is kind of like a Baptist church from what I hear. I honestly can't remember the last time my pastor taught on repentance. Plus, I bet you could already guess this, but I haven't read the Bible for myself.

And just for the record, I personally dislike the whole prospect of having a "soul mate" at all. I know that things might get lonely for me, but it's a path I'm fully willing to embrace. So trust me, porn won't hurt me in that respect, but it will drive me to worse things if left alone, and THAT is why I need help.

That is an article from a magazine I copied years ago, and I have a program that changes things into WORD format for me, so I can keep them on my hard drive.
