I can't make it any more simpler for you..it's all to do with Christ and His finished work..the below is the gospel of the grace of Christ in a nutshell..
grace is shown below...grace is Christ showing His love for us...
Jesus died for me. He rose from the dead for me. He lives for and in me. It's all free and it's all good news.

There is an obvious contradiction. Jesus commands us to obey his commandments, to keep them.
Paul argues we are not justified by keeping the law but by faith in Jesus, yet we are to be slaves to righteousness so following the law.
The law is therefore part of self-justification and consequence of belief. The law is therefore neutral, it is just a measure of behaviour. If you try to self justify, you fail because sin is derived from a lack of relationship or communion with the Lord, while in belief and communion righteousness is the product of that communion.
Paul said he was flawless in keeping the law and yet he commited murder by putting to death followers of Jesus who had not commited blasphemy as he had accused them of as Saul.
The law in Pauls eyes stirs up rebellion against God, because it highlights we are under judgement by a King who as sinners we do not acknowledge. In anybodies heart this just makes people more rebellious which is exactly what Paul is describing.
The problem is the lack of relationship which Jesus changed by demonstrating fully Gods love and compassion by dying for our sins, so that we might learn to walk in righteousness.
There is literally no point of redemption if we continue to sin, because sin is the reason why we are in rebellion against God.
Until you accept this is the end game, there is no game in town.

Imagine I am walking down the street and someone is handing out free chocolate.
If I do not take it, I do not have it.
If I take it and do nothing, I have gained nothing.
If I read the wrapping, understand what it is, open the wrapping and eat the chocolate I have then received and used it.
I in my own strength have done something, responded to the gift, put things into action and benefited from the gift.
I have not earnt the free gift by my response, I have not become self worthy of the gift, in fact unless I responded it has been of zero benefit to me and a waste of the person giving away the free gift.
Receiving Jesus is no different. Only when you put His words into action have you actually believed and received His offer.
Jesus himself said the same things time and time again.

Self works or self righteousness
Years ago the vastness of loving your neighbour as yourself came to mind. How do I do this? I need to learn to accept myself and know what is to love who I am and what I am. I can then learn how to love another because I know the weaknesses and failures they are suffering from because I know mine.
So here is the puzzle. Jesus gives you an impossible goal so you start to walk to find the answers and in so doing change. It is a whole mixed reality that unpacks as time goes by. Many of us have experienced this very same reality. It encourages me, because the wisdom of God is foolishness to man. I remember at 23 feeling I had it all sussed. Little did I know what layers were within and how hard it was to reach out to others with their own turmoil.
The price of such life realities is Grace7x77 chasing his tail following this or that preacher with their latest formula of failure while the Lord carries on building His kingdom with His people. You know who you are because you have my story in one form or another and glory in His grace and His righteous walk.

Yes and thanks for telling us that Christ, died and rose again for you/us. And yes I whole heartedly agree as does any Christian that grace (in the sense acted upon towards his sheep) is God showing his love for us in Christ. However that does not explain what you mean by the "the gospel of the grace of Christ" - or to put it this way 'the good news of Christs grace'.
You haven't actually explained anything. what do you mean it is all to do with Christ -why? What is Christs finished work..and how does that relate to us? is part of that work and example of an odedient life? or was he obedient to God so that you don't have to be? does your belief in Him 'fully'sanctify' you?

Jesus said He did what His father commanded Him to do, and we should do what He commands us to do.

So to follow Jesus is to obey his commands, to listen to Him.
I have yet to read a hyper-grace follower admit this is what Jesus said and they are obeying it.
To put it mildly, if you do not obey you are not following Jesus.

Jesus did nothing of His own initiative. Repeatedly He explained the source of what He did. "The Son can do nothing of Himself; ...the Father shows the Son all things that He Himself is doing" (John 5:19,20). "I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge..." (John 5:30). "I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself has given Me...what to say, and what to speak" (John 12:49). "The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works" (John 14:10).
IOW, Jesus lived in dependence upon God the Father, and in the same way that He lived in dependence upon God the Father, we now live in total dependency upon Him. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

Jesus criticism of the pharisees was they wanted to be pure in terms of ceremony and following the law but were completely unconcerned about being defiled by what they said and thought within.
"For out of the heart come evil thoughts – murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander."
Matt 15:19
Jesus was concerned about purity within transformation of the heart through the work of His word, love, the Holy Spirit and obedience. Those who are called have experienced this because they have applied and done all these things.
It is little wonder those who have not experienced this feel bewildered and abandoned. But they are blind guides who know not where they are.

The scriptures call it the gospel of Christ...grace of Christ..grace of God..the gospel of His Son...gospel of peace....gospel of God..Paul even called it his gospel...gospel is called the power of God...Christ's gospel...gospel of the glory of Christ...the truth of the gospel...gospel of your salvation...mystery of the gospel...on and on it goes...there are many ways to say it.
The finished work of Christ means that He has done everything for us in our salvation. It is finished!..His life was obedient and I am in Him...His life flows out of my new creation in Christ and this life "transforms" me to live in obedience to the law of Christ in me.

This verse sums it up....It is all Christ and He finished everything...we just walk in out what He has obtained for us.It's glorious! He is an awesome Lord and Savior!

Perfect tense = The perfect tense has to do with the completed progress of an action and its corresponding finished results. That is, it shows in a continuous present state based upon an action in past time
Passive voice = something is acted upon you - you are not doing the action
