I see some good ideas here!
I am actually planning on doing our large bedroom this year, and my choice is grey---one of those lovely mid-tone greys that are more like a taupe--with a bit more brown or red in it as the undertone. White for the trim, and the floor, as it is a nicely preserved plank floor, will be painted in white. It does need an accent colour, but for me, teal is too heavy, although I have seen it done and it is lovely, I think I would be aggravated by it over time. A nice soft butter yellow or even a lovely hit of fuchsia here and there would be great, and it could even be concentrated in a large area rug. Using lots of white, also as accessories, and lamps, etc. are what I see in my mind's eye.
Just some food for thought!
