Ok... If you're an atheist and believe in evolution, I personally believe you're clinging to a false hope, but whatever. At worst, you're just being a little ignorant. However, if you're an atheist and DON'T believe in evolution, you are obviously very confused or a complete moron. Just saying, without the theory of evolution, there is no explanation for atheism either ~_o
And anyway, did you guys even read what I wrote? Like dude above said, adaptation allows for variety within a species, but it does not change the organism. Here's a very CLOSE example of what I mean-
Gorillas have, if I recall correctly, 45 chromosomes. Humans have 46. Where on earth did the extra chromosome come from!??! An extra chromosome gives Down's Syndrome, which hinders reproducibility and, if I'm not mistaken, makes you infertile. Plus, even if it DID make you fertile with only others with 46 chromosomes, what are the chances that another person of the opposite sex and a disability will survive, find each other, breed, and over each and every DISADVANTAGED generation, we will eventually mutate out of the disadvantages and become what we call a human today? There is NO way that happened, but according to evolution, that's the ONLY way it could have happened.
Can you please explain if I have something wrong here?
