I think if a person relies solely on Christ all that will work itself out.

If not, then we have some pope defining what is and what isn't righteous works.
.
Do you think that if a person doesn't think acknowledgement of sin is necessary (when necessary) that there might be a possibility that things might not work out right? Like maybe a seared conscience.

No he didn't. Pretty harmless stuff. What perverts after him did is an altogether different story. The above says that Mary became an advocate of Eve, not the human race.
"by a virgin the human race was bound to death and by a virgin it is saved" how does that sound like anything but mary worship ? Replacing the truth of Christ for a lie... and as the pope himself said this fellow invented all the false catholic doctrine we now see.

Makes no sense either, heck I question the preacher at my own church with the Word of God to make sure he is actually staying in line with the scriptures in his sermons.

We are called to test everybody and not just take what another says as truth, but this blind following happens more often then naught !!!
Says the fellow that defends the heresy of Rome ....

So where exactly is the conflict? Is it the scripture that declares where sin abounded grace did "Huper-hyper" abound ?

Or maybe David is a hyper grace guy when he wrote "blessed is the man in whom the Lord will not commit sin"..?

I can see how someone could take it as Mary worship, but I can also see it as being entirely innocent. In the binary context that he was considering (Eve/Mary), Mary was the savior of the world in a sense, just as Eve was the destroyer of the world in a sense. It's not something that would have crossed my mind to dwell on, but I don't judge him for dwelling on it because it's obviously not advocating Mary worship. I've read enough of his stuff to know that he was not like that. Unfortunately, others have have created chaos with that idea.

Well if in fact we didn't see that the Catholic church does worship mary...you might have a point of question about his intention ...but its clear he was exalting mary into the glory that only belongs to Christ Jesus ..and even the pope said his teachings are the foundation of all catholic doctrine.

Not at all. I'm defending the integrity of truth. Your reasonings are full of fallacies and bitterness.
Your defending catholic lies... and propaganda and a man that taught heresy and the worship of mary and idols.

wow me and wikapedia must be bigots and lying?

The New Testament Gospels, composed during the late 1st century, contain the first references to the life of Mary; the NT Epistles, composed earlier, make no mention of her by name. There are, however, references to Mary in the Epistles, most notably in Galatians.[SUP][6][/SUP] In the 2nd century, St. Irenaeus of Lyons called Mary the "second Eve" because through Mary and her willing acceptance of God's choice, God undid the harm that was done through Eve's choice to eat the forbidden fruit. The earliest recorded prayer to Mary, the sub tuum praesidium, is dated in its earliest form to the middle of the 3rd century.

Popes say all kinds of stupid things, but I have read that that was said because of the work that Irenaeus did defending the faith against so many heresies during his time. He is considered to be the greatest theologian of that time. I've read some of his stuff and it's not too bad. Some stuff is weird, but all of the church fathers seem to have some that weirdness. Honestly, reading them is really not my cup of tea.

I just don't see the corruptions of the RCC now being a reality in Irenaeus' day. Give him a chance. Judge him on what he said, not on who he was associated with, which is really a stretch anyway because the church then was not the RCC now by any means.

He claims he is not a member anymore... ? But he always seems to defend their heresy.
Spreading more lies I see Mitspa !!!!

I have never once on here defended the heresies of the RCC...........................

You do know bearing false witness on others is the work of the spirit of anti-christ and not a fruit of the Holy Spirit ???

I have stood against the heresies of that church as well as the lies taught within OSAS and hyper-grace. The problem is that OSASers and hyper-grace people have something in common with the Catholic's, and that is they refuse straight and plainly worded scripture or they have to manipulate them to make them fit their theology.

I have constantly spoke up against those who spout names such as Augustine, Calvin, Luther, and others who have apostate teachings !!!

I was only in the RCC for 5 years and that was enough because my Baptist upbringing and the Holy Spirit kept me from falling to their teachings but instead for those 5 years kept questioning the priest.

Mitspa you need to start giving Truth instead of spreading lies on somebody !!!

I grew up 12 years in Baptist church and for the past 6 years been in Baptist church again.....

Mitspa just thinks that because I was truthful and mentioned how I was in the RCC for 5 years in my 20's, but where he lies is I have never once defended RCC heresies !!!

Any sane person can read the words this phony holy man was supposed to have written and know he was claiming salvation through mary..which the whole church teaches by the way.

Wikipedia's a joke. Anyone can write whatever they want there. I could go in and write, 'Hi Mitspa' if I wanted. I read what Irenaeus wrote about Mary on different websites, and it was clear that Irenaus was not advocating Mary worship. He said Mary became an advocate of Eve, not the human race.
