I think pretty much everyone has them... What are you irrationally afraid of?

I like snakes, spiders, lizards... it's all good for me. But I, for one, am irrationally afraid of Indian Gharials. Nature does not normally frighten me, and it's not like I would never, ever go near one...

BUT JUST LOOK AT IT:

(Perfectly harmless, of course. They eat fish and frogs; at their very worst they could puncture your arm and you could bleed to death, or perhaps drag you underwater and drown you, but overall quite harmless.)

I fear snakes but I'm not sure that fear is irrational

By the by, you've driven me to googling cute animals like a little girl. I would post cute pics but I don't want to derail your horrid thread.

:p

Nothing, except perhaps going bald when I'm older... but I know my hairline would never betray me.

The only rational explanation I can come up with for God making an animal this terrifying is that initially humans had no fear of animals because they were harmless and then after the Fall when animals with big teeth started eating people we began to mentally associate formerly un-scary animals with getting eaten...

I fear snakes but I'm not sure that fear is irrational
If it's venomous it would be rational...

No need to fear--they have implants for that!

Er... or was that, transplants... With all the cosmetic procedures available now, I get the two confused...

(Fortunately, I haven't had anything done myself. Yet, at least. But can you imagine what would happen if I asked for a "transplant" and got an "implant" instead... I might wind up with a third arm or something.)

I have a growing fear of plastic surgery, but in this case I think it's justified:

I'm going for bonus points here because I believe this photo would also quality under the "terrifying animals"
CAT-(no pun intended)-egory as well.

(This is Jocelyn Wildenstein, a wealthy socialite who, rumor has it, had multiple procedures done in order to look like the wild cats her husband was obsessed with in an effort to keep him. Unsurprisingly, he left her for a woman much younger... and, theoretically, more human-looking... I actually feel quite sorry for her.)
