I have a friend who does the most amazing drawings of dogs. I greatly admire her talent.

I've always related bad handwriting to a lack of artistic ability. Is this true? If it is then there may be no hope for me because my handwriting is atrocious. I would love to draw, but since I can barely write I feel like I have no chance.

A steady hand helps, but practice helps iron that out. My handwriting used to be really horrible, so I started calligraphy and it helped correct a lot of it. But I don't think it would prevent you from learning to draw. Usually, the thing that keeps a person from learning to draw is lack of belief that they can ever learn, and not being patient with themselves.

I used to paint, but some meds for chronic pain caused
my vision to go blurry, and I began to lose the ability to
see the minute details. By the time it was discovered what
was causing it, and I kept struggling with 'dollar-store readers'
I had put the painting aside, and have never been able to
successfully get the touch back. I really miss it,
but it was very time consuming. I used to be able to read
the date on a coin on the floor, and could paint miniatures
with the naked eye using the smallest brushes. I never had
any training, but I really loved it. Maybe someday I'll try again,
with prayer and maybe paint by 'sense',
like the deaf, dumb and blind kid that was a pinball wizard.
But seriously, I encourage everyone to try some form of artistry.
I love those that are talented in music, arts, whatever, and share
that with us, especially if it inspires ppl
into the love of our Creator God and Saviour.

I'm good, thanks. Tigress. I've had some rough patches this year, but I'm working towards a healthier me - emotionally, mentally, physically, socially, spiritually. I just have work on my boundaries. Having some for a start. Bless you, dear sister.
