I can vouch that Mitspa talks to himself.. Last night he invited me over to watch football and he fell asleep on couch, and kept talking in his sleep about how "that darn ladybug made my team lose cuz she booed them". I just started laughing, woke him up and told him to stop eating anchovy pizza before he watches the game. It makes him hallucinate.. bwahahaha

*laughs maniacally and runs*

Does saying out loud all the things you are trying to accomplish while multitasking count?

Yes. Given that I sometimes long for intelligent conversation.........I don't have much choice BUT to talk to myself.

I don't mean to sound morbid, but now having to live alone, I miss a voice or even having someone to give my voice to. The house is so quiet. SO, I am surprised to find that I seem to want to talk to myself a lot of the time.

Isn't it amazing that you never disagree with what you are saying? Except maybe Mitspa who might argue with his old self.
And most of us like the sound of our own voice. It is like an old friend that has been with us all our lives.

It is when you hear a voice or voices around you in the room, and you have not opened your mouth, that there might be room for concern.

Yes, frequently (not out loud), but I rarely say anything. Usually it's just thought salad.

That was about the same thing that I was going to ask! If it does, my answer would be "yes"

"I was talking aloud to myself. A habit of the old: they choose the wisest person present to speak to; the long explanations needed by the young are wearying."

Those who talk aloud to themselves are in good company ;)

All the time, if there's so one around. And I do not merely talk to myself.

I frequently argue, loudly, with myself.
I explain things to myself, but I never listen to reason.
I mutter in agreement with myself.
I laugh at my own jokes.
Sometimes I slap myself on the back.
Sometimes I slap myself upside the head.
And sometimes I just verbalize the weird whatnots currently running through my head.
