I said yes - do it all the time... I wanted to say I hear voices.....because every time someone talks to me I most times hear them....lol Those are voices right? Oh and my selective hearing determines if I answer back or not. You didn't specify hearing voices in your head telling you to do things...
I talk out loud to myself all the time. I talk to the cat, and every day we have a verbal discussion to see who gets the last word (or meow) in.. usually the cat wins, because sometimes I'll be in a different room, and she'll start talking (meowing) to herself. My cat is demented.. 
He tells me he hasn't eaten. And I ask him if he's sure or if he's lying again. He always promises that he's not lying. But sometimes he is.
I tell Big Dumb to shut up but he says no. Then I say yes. But he says no again. I tell him he's a pita just like my wife and he responds with a whole bunch of stuff but I'm not sure what it is. Probably not good.
I sat me down and had a talk about myself. I noticed that I was paying more attention to me than I was to myself. I told me that there had to be some changes, and I would have to pay less attention to me, and more attention to myself. I can't say myself that me was happy about this, but I knew that I needed more time with myself and less time with me if I was to be as happy with myself as I was with me.
