I'm Michael, thanks for judging me. Its nice to meet you.

I make a remark about your comment. You return with a personal attack against me. Guess your true character is showing.

I take that back ...you're a funny guy. You have me nailed. Lol.
The head of the Troll Patrol , who is constantly throwing his two cents at new members, making them feel awkward and unwelcomed has been offended?

How's it feel?
I'm sorry for what you're going through, bro.....but lighten up, man.

You love to give others a piece of your mind...well, heres a piece of mine.

This thread is goofy and unnecessary. You know exactly what you were doing when you started this

Molly, the most gentle person on CC, offers a warm, light-hearted joke and is scolded.

This place just about sucks anymore.

Thank you Utah! That's very nice of you!

Was annoying when the other guy did it. Didn't become less annoying when another did it.
Really?

This brings up a good question..why was we all forced to take Spanish in high-school ... whose idea was that and who decides these silly things?

We should have been taught Canadian ...

Here in Texas it was actually optional to take Spanish. Which is weird...because Texas has many Spanish speaking residents. It would benefit students to learn it as employers are more willing to hire Spanish speaking employees...at least here in Texas, that is.

We are required in high school to take at least 2 years of a foreign language. So a lot of kids chose exotic languages like Japanese.

I grew up in a Spanish speaking home so that's how I know it, not from school. In fact, my grandma and dad only speak Spanish and not English.
And yes, they were born here in the USA. ;)

Who is "they" ? And why are "they" trying to force folks to learn Spanish? When so many cant even read or write ..they waste time with this kind of stuff?

Yea... I had rather have folks that can read and write English ... These poor kids in the cities cant even read or write and some progressive wants to waste effort to impose Spanish on folks...don't make sense to me?

Well, obviously "they" would be the school board. And it was probably one of the best moves they ever made since, like Texas, we have a very high percentage of the local population who are Spanish speaking. And I even managed to learn to read and write English a little better than a lot of people who only had English. The fact that you have to compare and contrast a lot of the differences, similarities and variances of both languages helps in learning both.
