Out of 66 books of Scripture, if all we talk about is the benefits of the finished work of Christ...as importnt as it is... It strikes me as being unbalanced.
It is rather all encompassing, is it not? But I see your point, there are other topics to be discussed. I just think the topic of God's grace is sorely needed.

Well, I wondered where you guys were a year or two ago when we had all the perfectionist/sinless threads.

If you had left off that last statement, I would agree with your post.

You are deceived by Satan if you believe you are.
Here is the last part of my post...
And I can say with all confidence that since I have been given a new garment I have kept it unspotted by the ways of the world, as I also plan to walk with the Lord in white.
Now here are the words of the Lord...

Revelation 3:4"Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy."

So if I say and believe what the Lord said is possible, then I have been deceived by Satan? LOL! You people crack me up. :)

[h=1]Genesis 3King James Version (KJV)[/h] 3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
[SUP]19 [/SUP]In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

What we seem to have here is a group of people with too much liberty, acting like they own the place.....

Remember, dear reader, the majority wins in the eyes of the people, but God will judge them in the end. Only the "few that be that find it" will actually be with the Lord.
Too much liberty?? Impossible.

How about self-examination? Seriously, on a forum where most examine others, examining self in relationship to God could truly get us out of finger pointing.

What would happen if we had a thread where we couldn't talk about what "they" are doing? Is it even possible? (And I'm really asking because I know I'm not doing it right now.)

This stuff is bad now?..This "liberty" stuff could be anti-Christ like...*shakes head*

Luke 4:18 (KJV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Romans 8:21 (KJV)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Galatians 5:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Too much liberty?? Impossible.

Thats true.

And what you find in history, is that the FEW have based the gospel on faith alone in the work of Christ alone, and eternal security based on the promise alone.

The root of all major religions is that God is a vengeful God who has standards, and uness we live up to thos standards, or do some things to make up for our failing, We will not get to heaven, even if we go to church every day. It is a thing called legalistic thought.

That is so true...we have made a "god" of our own I from our un-renewed minds tot the real truth of the Father and our Lord Jesus...and not the God that loves us dearly and has done everything to show He loves us and has good things for us both in this life and the next. The greatest treasure we have is in knowing Jesus and the Father correctly.

This abundantly shows the neo-gnostic incluence on hypergrace ideas. The expression unrenewed minds is simply its way of referring to a mind not perfected by gnosis (special knowledge). Renewal of the mind, i.e., spiritual perfection, is accomplished by holding the correct idea of GOD in one's mind (special knowledge).

You sure about that?

Matthew 7
[SUP]21 [/SUP]“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. [SUP]22 [/SUP]On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ [SUP]23 [/SUP]And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Seems like these people had too much liberty.

We are free in Christ. We are by no means lawless.

Only if you consider sin as “liberty”.

Many here seem to, in the sense that they deny parts of scripture that are relevant to Christians as far as obeying Christ. S'all good if you're saved though. Don't worry about discernment, confessing sins, righteous judgment, any type of laws, or any semblance of structure. You're good to go no matter what. These people are taking far too much liberty and have become lawless.

Notice that in Matt 7:19-23..Jesus said "I never knew you "...these people were not believers.....everyone when they see Jesus will call Him Lord.....

John 10:14 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Jesus did the "will of God"...and delivered us from this present evil world

Galatians 1:4 (KJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

It is God in us that gives us the will and the ability to do His will.

Philippians 2:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

The Will of the Father is to believe on Jesus.

1 John 3:23-24 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
[SUP]24 [/SUP] The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

The good works we do are from "being in Christ"..being lead by the Holy Spirit. Notice God has prepared them for us. we walk them out as we life our lives dependent on Him.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
[SUP]9 [/SUP] not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
