Even though I don't think too much of what KC has turned into, I would dread being in the shoes of this video producer on Judgment Day. And my estimation of the man who posted this has dropped considerably.
Why ???

The Word of God clearly says when speaking in tongues if there is nobody to interpret then it is to be done in silent !!!

Copeland clearly prayed in supposedly tongues with nobody to interpret and thus was doing this in contradiction with what God's word says.

I use to listen to Kenneth Copeland a lot in my early studies when I was still weak in the faith and I even received their monthly magazine.

One day something drew me to stop listening to them and unsubscribe, and then a few years later I turned the channel and came across one of their programming shows on TBN. It was Gloria Copeland doing most of the talking and all she could do is say money this, money that, you don't truthfully believe if you don't give.

Quickly I turned the channel !!!
There is a whole cadre that's been around for a long time now, con men and women making merchandise of Christ, just frauds, turning a trick, in the name of Christ. What they're doing doesn't even resemble the body of Christ of the first century or represent the teachings, nor the lifestyles and behavior, of the apostles, much less our Lord Jesus. When I was still a teenager, it was apparent what some of these men are. People who can't see what's going on must be spiritual blind, as even their pitch and clear motivations are so in-your-face, their lifestyles obscene. But a sucker born every minute.

There are lots of posts in other threads that talk about the whole congregation praying in the spirit when prompted by the leader.

The one about keeping silent was so that people weren't just blurting out speaking in tongues and causing a chaos. You need to rightly divide the truth in that chapter..anyway..start a thread on it if you want...people can bring their thoughts and scriptures.....
This is an absolute fact. He already said they were ALL going to pray about what he outlined in English because he really didn't know what the Pope needed. This was not an exhortation to the assembly, in any way, shape, or form.

Ahem...if I may...

The criteria for flinging an accusation of false anything around these here parts is a subjective one at best...

For example, I would state that John MacArthur is a false teacher because he is a cessationist

You disagreed in another thread and I was not able to continue the discussion at the time

You can state that teaching what is not in the Bible or twisting what is in the Bible is a false teacher but I am convinced that cessationists are not teaching the truth...They are interpreting and believe they are correct even though scripture disagrees with them

I find plenty of bias throughout these forums and some folks believe they dont need teachers...its just them and their Bible correcting everyone who does not agree 100% with them

I dont know you well enough so dont take that personally please

Benny Hinn on the other hand can be proven to be a false prophet....he's made many so called prophecies that never come to pass

That is objectively true.....however disagreeing with a major part of the NT is also blatantly false

Anyone who steals in the name of God, and promotes false things like this, like benny hin, and the leader of world harvest church in Columbus deserve what they get. But I agree, just because we may disagree on a certain doctrine does not make us false teachers..

I will give you this last post...and then you can go start one and people can join in there....this is my last post on this subject until you start a thread on it..

If your leader says to you.."Let's pray for brother so and so's mother.."..could you with an act of your will do that?

the answer is yes..of course...so the whole congregation if they all had a voice that works..they could all at once speak out and pray..right?

So ..with that in mind...let's say your pastor says..."there is something going on with my mother-in-law but I don't know how we should pray...let's pray in the spirit and get the Lord's mind on it.. "..they could all pray in tongues together with an act of their will..they very same as using their minds in the other example.

We can use the very same example for singing.. we can sing with our minds and sing with our spirit too...

here's the scripture....we can engage our will to pray either with our spirit or with our mind...and do the same for singing..

1 Corinthians 14:14-15 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.

It states it is wrong in any circumstance without an interpreter !!!

Nowhere does the bible allow speaking in tongue's openly without and interpreter, and it had nothing to do with causing chaos why an interpreter is needed in all cases.

It was not to cause a stumbling block to others who do not speak in the tongue, because if you for example have a new person come to your church and they see every body there start speaking in tongues with nobody interpreting. Then those people might thank this is crazy and not want to return.

Because as you see his hatred toward others has blinded him to what these people are actually saying to him.

I have tried multiple times with E.G. to tell my stance, yet he still goes about and spreads lies about me.

I have put him on ignore and even took him off to give him another chance, to no avail so back on ignore he went !!!

Yeah Yeah, Whatever, You are a legalist, and preach a false gospel of works. And you do not like being called that. That's not on me,

what saddens me is you are to proud to admit what you teach. If your going to teach it, at least have the guts to stand for what you teach.

What about 1 Cor 14:19?

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
along with 1 Cor 14:27?

27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and one must interpret; 28 but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God

He did not outline anything in English, he said he did not know what to pray for so to let the Holy Spirit take over and pray on his behalf.

It went into praying in tongue's with no interpreter, which again is expressly said not to do in God's word !!!

No leader has the right to over ride what is said in the Word of God !!!

By you making such a statement then you do just as the Catholic's do, as they think the Pope or their priests have the right to teach things to do that is contradictory to the Word of God.

Verses you gave above from 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 does not override 19 and 27, they go together !!!

The spirit can pray in English. Forgive me, But not even I buy this stuff..

Having an interpreter is the word of God. I am not against gifts. But I am strongly against gifts not done according to Gods word.

Did you catch...and speak to himself and God...there is a sound with doing that..so the "Silent" part must be viewed with all the other scriptures..namely to do with the interruption of a service..taking one scripture out of it's setting causes all kinds of different conclusion..

Do you speak in tongues to your Father in private?

Works are proof of one who is saved or not, they are not what does the saving !!!

A true believer in Christ will produce good works and have the fruit of the Spirit evident in their life !!!

Those who are not a true believer (false profession) or are a unbeliever, their life will be full of continuous willful deliberate sinning !!!

They are the defining characteristic's as all 3 Paul, James, and John shows how one walks will show assurance of their salvation in Christ !!!

1 Corinthians 14:2 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.

1 Corinthians 14:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

I do also believe that one could pray with their mind if it came from their spirit too...but tongues is without a doubt praying from one's spirit within them..

He certainly did. He probably spent close to a full minute telling everyone what they should be praying about in their spirits. Go listen again.

Just the concept any one denomination has some lease on the Holy Spirit, that they're God's special little creatures, this even falsely makes God a respecter of persons. If God only rolls around on the floor between your walls, you better examine who your God is. People who think they're God's special little group is what's called a cult. And cults are notorious for doing stupid, carnal things nobody else does. Also, spirituality has nothing to do with a crowd getting emotionally whipped up to "sow that seed." This is exactly what carnival barkers do at a circus, and they're not under the influence of the Holy Spirit, either.

1. You add water baptism to the gospel along with other works.
2. You state one can have works and still not be saved at the end of his life (salvation can be lost) .

Again, You say a lot of the right things, but like many false gospels. you have to add a little work here and there, to make the gospel not a gospel of faith in Christ and his work. but a mix of Christ's works and our work.
