Stunned - the joke is you are the only one who really cares. They have actually taken the argument one step further on, so thankyou, you got the argument another step along, a bit better understanding, but still it does not work.
My experience is getting theology out of people like this, is like pulling teeth, difficult and confusing.

Are you holding that everyones sins are forgiven and people only judged on their good deeds?
It is obvious grace8 likes this but most hyper-grace preachers do not. They have the step of faith first.
Or is it too much for you to declare that you actually believe anything definatively or can you only quote other people?

There is a logical problem. If Jesus says the good samaritan is not a believer, his good deed is an evil deed for he is judged.
If the good samaritan is a believer, ie walking in Christ, not possible before the cross, but assuming it is possible then the deed done is good.
If the deed done is good, then all deeds can be judged because Jesus has not called an evil deed good which would mean they cannot be the cause of people going to hell.
It gets confusing, but the theology is very precise.
The other problem is this kind of theology does not work before the cross, therefore the good samaritan could not be a believer who is made good by christs death, as it had not yet happened. This is all a joke because as far as we know this is a parable not a real story, which is why projecting on to him as a believer is equally a joke.
But I expect little more out of the contorted set of ideas. But are you buying into this as well?
The real failure here is moving the argument away from sin and redemption through faith.

This is soooo typical. Whenever I'm going thru a rough time, and I'm away for a bit, I come back to a 'christian' forum and find I'm being ridiculed and rejected. Again. And it's not the usual nasty ones this time. I know I'm not perfect, but I never meant any harm here, why do so many seem to choose to hate me? I just don't get it, but my pm box is always open if someone has something against me and wants to discuss it and to reason together, and not disrupt anyone's thread. It's the same offer I've made repeatedly. But no one takes me up on it, and ppl either have me all wrong or they just don't care about me.

A person repents of their sin.
Recognises they have sinned
Admits their guilt
Asks God to forgive them
Trusts in the cross for the forgiveness of sins
Follows Jesus in obedience to His word.
Is baptised by the holy spirit as a deposite in their hearts
Is born again into the Kingdom of God and is sanctified through obedience and transformed by the work of God in their lives.
I hope this meets your approval, but then again thankfully I stand before Jesus my Lord, who I love.
And I am convinced that you will be surprised when you discover what THEY really believe. But it takes a slowing down and truly listening.

We aren't ridiculing you. We are just worried that your butt might chap because it's winter. We have to try to talk some sense into you.
I said before you do not understand Grace8 theology.
I will try and explain slowly.
1. Everyones sin is forgiven, in the whole world
2. Deeds outside sin are the cause of judgement
3. Any deed done outside Christ is evil, dooms you to hell
4. Deeds done in Christ are righteous.
The morality of a deed does not matter, it is whether it is done in Christ or not.
That is grace8 theology. Have you got this?
Therefore a good deed can be evil. So please do not tell me no-one believes this, because this is what Grace8 believes.
Ask him. It is not my position I am defending.

Stunnedbygrace - you are not very good at reading stuff or understanding some basic ideas.
Being condescending to someone who spends their life analysing things, breaking them down and building them up again is not very wise. I am willing to wait until you actually catch up. Do you understand why when I mentioned the good samaritan I thought, hey this contradicts this theology. Now the answer is he is a believer. Fat chance.

A lifetime of focus on sin,sin,sin and Christ paid for it all...........and every "good" deed done for salvation or to maintain salvation is JUDGED for the unbeliever and BURNED for the believer.
