Yes, discernment is the answer, not blindly believing one side. I used to believe exactly how you do and only listened the basic main stream media version. In recent years my views have changed. Education is the key, not hate.

Exactly. BBC is mainstream media... so why did you post it as "proof?" Alternatively, BBC is not mainstream media. Then their disclosure that the ex-captain is no longer a captain in the Israeli forces cannot be false. If it is not false, then this ex-captain witness is tainted. What he says can very well be true but because there is an enormous possibility that he is saying it out of revenge discredits him.

No, I choose to discern. To accept everything without thinking and analyzing it is dangerous. You might end up believing something wrong that Satan wants you to believe. But if you discern and make careful observations, you will be less prone to poor judgment.

Let me ask you this: what is your goal? Is it to make everyone go away and ignore the "truth" that you are telling us? Or is it to get us to believe your "truth?" If it is the latter, then you're going to have to play within our framework. It's like telling an atheist that there's God. Do you think by telling an atheist that there is a God will change their minds? Of course not. Same thing here.
By the way, that region has never been at "peace." There is always some war going on since biblical times.

Believe me when I tell it is very rare when stories like this receive main stream attention. Viewers are absolutely bombarded with pro-Israel and anti-Palestine messages daily. I thought that since this was main stream and not an "alternative" source that some would find this argument at the very least reasonable.

Well, if it is mainstream, then by your own agreement, then what they show is "false." That's why you stopped watching mainstream newscasts. You said that yourself. So if mainstream newscasts present false lies and information. How can we take this one as truth? Even if it is truth, there will still be some falsity because the newscast has an agenda to make us see something other than what we want to see. So at the end of the day, what they say is still false and cannot be taken as truth including the clip that you showed us because their agenda is to lie to us in some form - their agenda is to twist the truth so that it is false. So any truth that they show is already twisted so that we will not see it as truth. In essence, I cannot take that clip to be true because it is mainstream and they have an agenda to show me some kind of falsity. I cannot tell what is falsity therefore, everything that ex-captain and anchorman said must be taken as completely false lest I should be deceived. The safest way is to treat the whole thing as false. You wouldn't want us to accidentally believe a part of the falsity at the cost of believing a small bit of truth, would you? Wouldn't you want us to believe the whole truth rather than some truth and a lot of false?

I never said everything in the main stream media was false, I said it was pro-Israel. He said its going to hurt Israel in the long run. Another words, the guy is still pro-Israel yet wants the war crime to stop. The pro-Israel blood thirsty in here don't even want that.

It's not much of a travesty to me... it seems so obvious to me that if you want to convince someone or open their hearts, then present it in such a way that they would be receptive to it. You can't throw a Bible in an atheist's face and expect them to believe. Rather, that sort of behaviour will turn them away and you would've done more harm than good. But it's ok for you to do that to us and when we turn away, you blame it on our hardened hearts rather than on your poor presentation skills...?
