Right on. Have ya considered picking a book, and reading through the whole thing just one chapter at a time. Readit and think about what it was saying, then read it again to be sure?
I think I'll try that. The whole jumping all over the place has helped because I have been able to defend myself a couple times... What book would you recommend?

Oh I see Lol so you just pray?

I mostly just read through the bible and pray. I used to read a couple christian books but right now I am just reading the bible
Never ever doubt the power of prayer darlin..... Prayer has power, it lets you be intimate with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, it will take you to a whole new relationship with them and with yourself.... Your natural mind and your natural eyes will finally be opened and you'll never be the same again...

I've been busy with school work, chores, and reading through the archives here to supplement my Bible studies. I'm behind schedule on all of it. It happens sometimes. How are you?

For some reason this thread title reminds me of an old David Kauffman song, "Be one."

Haha I barely noticed that!

I have a question for you gentlemen... What do you guys do in your quiet time with God?
Mostly thanking for stuff, and then question why this or what does this mean or should I do this...but really, it's mostly just reading. If I was to be honest, sometimes I get too busy, and I wish I did more quiet time stuff, but I do try.

As for the friends thing originally:

Just go to a local church, it's ok to church shop for a while, especially if you're new. I became a Christian when I was 20, and it was super awkward because it felt like there was something weird at every church, either the trying to force me to speak in tongues, or super judgmental because I wasn't spiritually mature (I suppose, true, but come on, help me get there instead of reject me). When I got to college, I learned a very important lesson about churches: There is one very important aspect above all else: Do they love God, each other, and you? If the answer's no, there's something seriously wrong. I suppose you could rebuke them Paul-style, but they probably won't listen and will kick you out. Honestly, I'm happy where I am now, and have made great friends.

I pray before opening my Bible. I read my passages and cross-reference them using the notes in the margins. I take notes about what I read, posing questions that I might have. I pray after my reading for thanks and to ask for more understanding. Then I get online and try to track down the answers to questions I might have asked myself while reading.

I'm still church shopping and not finding one I like. I'm very anti-social and church is kind of overwhelming for me. I'm used to being alone and undisturbed and that's how I like to be.
