God told me my gift

So recently I was reading my bible and God told me I was a healer, I said into myself 'who me?' As I couldn't believe it. Does anyone else have a gift they know of and how do we use it?

Also can I add that a friend of mine has had countless Ivf attempts and they always failed. I prayed for her last week and I saw her having Twins.. Was speaking to her last night and a paster had been praying for her and he also saw twins.. Now she has had a positive pregnancy test.. This woman must of had Ivf at least 5 to 7 times.. I lost count and wouldn't be rude to ask her how many times

God gives elders of the church the authority to lay on hands and heal people. Very rarely does he bestow that gift onto ordinary people like you and I. Healing comes ONLY from GOD, so if YOU indeed were or are able to heal someone, it's God doing the work. Not you. :)

God can heal through anybody he chooses and it doesn't always have to be the flesh there are numerous ways.

Stephanie1984..there are 9 gifts of the spirit, as mentioned by Paul in 1 Corinthians, chapt. 12. Yes..JESUS told His apostles and disciples that 'greater miracles will ye do than I"...and JESUS never lies. Jesus had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to reveal at a much greater scope, the spiritual truths and the Gospel to be spread much further. JESUS was walking on earth, in a certain location only. When HE ascended, He gave specific instructions for His own to assemble in an upper room, where the Holy Spirit would 'touch down' and from there, history is made. You and I and others do have access and can operate in those gifts of the Spirit...they are NOT limited to just a few priests and elders in a church. How silly. JESUS is our High Priest and by the lifestyle we choose, we can utilize one or several of those awesome gifts of the spirit. Do not be deceived by comments made online in this forum by strangers. GOD always confirms what He tells and reveals to you. There will be NO confusion and No doubt when His super touches your natural. You may indeed have that gift of healing, or knowledge, or 'helps" or interpretation, or exortation, or teaching, or tongues or wisdom or prophesy. Who's to say you don't? Time and the evidence will prove itself. God is not mocked, nor will HE be made a fool of. You go, girl..in His almighty power. The bible is clear..in the last days, your daughters will prophesy, your young men will dream dreams, your old men will have visions and so much more.....My prayers are with you, Stephanie!!!!!

A friend of mine just had her fourth child and first son. 6 months later she was taking her laundry upstairs and fell backward. The church and we first heard about this later that day when she was in the hospital on full life support. She was brain dead. We gathered to pray.

God gave me a vision of her and her husband with their four children around them praising God at church. I was sure that was from God and it meant she was healed/would be healed. Apparently, God gave me the gift of visions.

The next day her poor husband had them pull the plug. She was still dead.

What we want God to tell us and what God really tells us are often two distinctly different things.

Depleted...there is NO gift of visions.....as listed in the New Testament...there is Discernment.....and others..but NO visions!

Maybe you should consider that when your friend could not conceive according to God's plan it was not His will that she have children at this time. Was God pleased when she tried to over ride God and seek man's way.
Could it be that God wanted her and her husband to adopt one or more of the millions of orphans that would love to have a home.
We should be very careful that we do not try to overide God to fulfill our desires.

The Lord doesn't so much tell us things as he shows us things, perhaps. I believe healing is a gift the Lord gives to those who have repented of their sin.

In her first post she said God told her SHE WAS A HEALER.
I see no credit given to God in her post. Maybe that was not here intent, but I can only go by what she said.

But that's exactly who she give Credit too for God told her, she didn't say herself told her.

What I read was that she could heal.
ONLY GOD HEALS.
He does not need me or you or this fine lady.

True he doesn't need anybody but in your opinion can God work through people to heal others?

WHAT!!!! You mean to tell me Benny Hinn doesn't heal? All that jacket waving was for nothing??? That's it I'm going to cry in the corner, thanks for crushing me.

You're correct though. Many also claim to have gifts the do not have. These aren't cool magical powers like Harry Potter and Fairy Tales. I sometimes this that's what many think they are.

^^^ This. Amen to that. That's why we should always talk to the Father about what we think we want, or need, but always with the understanding that He knows, already, what is best for us. Many times, the answer is "No"... or, in the case of the friend, "not right now"...
