Psalm 10:3 -- "Wicked boasteth of his heart's desire."
Psalm 49:6 -- "....boast themselves in the multitude of their riches."
This is a very common characteristic of the wicked. He loves to boast. He boasts of his power and success. He boasts in the fact that he could do whatever he pleases. He boasts in the things that he should rightfully be ashamed of doing and saying. He boasts in fact he is superior to others. He looks with disdain and contempt on others. He glorifies in his wealth, strength, beauty, talent, etc....He takes pride in his passions, lusts, and desires. He is always looking out to excite the admiration of others. He actually feels that his great wealth is a sure token of God's favor on his life and an indication to all of his superior industry and ingenuity.
Now this is just a description of a wicked person. But it could be on Mr. Trumps campaign button, and signs. The worst part for me is how there are 9 other Scriptures that pop into mind that also describe his sinful demeanor. I have to ask myself, "Am I trying to vote for one or two policies allowing God's virtues and prosperity to be afforded, am I voting for what I feel is best for my personal life and family, considering what I am doing as God's will as I place God on the sideline temporarily. Or am I to vote my godly conscience and let God deal with the rest, irregardless of the evidence that suggest it to be a waisted vote? I can say I have received HIS "ought to" in this matter, now it's just a question as to whether I obey Him.
