Hello Brothers and Sisters.I'm new here and I wanted to share and learn about the bible,Spiritual stuff, hopefully, if there are people willing to open up about what they found by the Holy Spirit, studying.

There are actually quite a few two witnesses in the bible during when something significant happen. They are there to stand as a witness.
In the Book of Revelation,The Two Witnesses have to be there to stand for everything that has happen.
And there is only one person capable of that, and it's Jesus. He is the faithful witness.
It's his testimony, that is the bible that stands as The Two Witnesses.
The double edged sword that comes out of his mouth in Revelation 1:16 represents the OT/NT.
The two Witnesses and the 144,000 are connected, and they carry with them the testimony of the Bible. That's when the Two witnesses prophesy.

Ecclesiastes 1:9-10
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

Remember when Israel made it out of Egypt and made it to the promise land?
Joshua and Caleb are the only two original survivors who made it out of Egypt to cross the Jordan.
They are two witnesses to the next generation who never even seen Egypt.
Together they make up the remnant of Israel. The priests carried the Ark of the Testimony across the Jordan, but they to are the remnant.
They will carry the testimony in Revelation, with Jesus again at the lead.By his Spirit he will enter the temple of the two witnesses.
The 144,000 are the one's to die in the streets and refused burial.

Crossing the Jordan river was like being baptized that's possibly why they picked up the 12 stones for future generations.
The ark went first remember?(Jordan means descend or flow down)

Matthew 3:13-15
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

There's one more thing I wanted to say about the The Two Witnesses.
The two spies(the remnant/Two Witnesses) who went into Jericho, made a oath to Rahab the prostitute for hiding them.
She hide them in Stalks of flax(straw)
Straw was used for bricks to strengthen the bricks used for building.
Walls in the bible sometimes represents the people(Israelites).
See how symbolic that is?The two witnesses will strengthen the people. This is backed up by the book of Revelation.

When they made the oath to Rahab they said "our lives for yours" and say they will be made blameless by the oath they made.
Rahab asked that her,her family, and all that are theirs be spared and it's agreed. The Bible says she lives among the Israelite's to this day.The Scarlet Cord is represented as the blood of Jesus.

That oath carries on into the book of Revelation.

Revelation 18:4-5
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Rahab the prostitute in revelation is a spiritual one.

The Two Witnesses in Revelation is the bible, carried by the remnant(144,000)with Jesus leading the way,by giving his testimony through the Temple of the 144,000.

Ecclesiastes 1:9-10
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us

This is also why when you want to check someone to see if they are giving sound doctrine, that you use the Bible,as a witness to their testimony.A prophecy can also be checked in most cases to see if the prophecy holds true.

You say in the 7th line down that it is the bible which is the two witnesses.
I'm sorry, that would take too much torturing of Scripture to make that play out...

Revelation 11:6-12 KJVS
[6] These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. [7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. [8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. [9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. [10] And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. [11] And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. [12] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

It takes a lot of spiritualizing of the text to come to your conclusion.
How do the testimonies get killed, their BODIES lie in the street, and raise from the dead?

When you start spiritualizing the text you can make it say just about anything.

When I tell people that the Two witnesses are the bible they counter with what you are saying.
That they die in the street and are raised from the dead.

I'm saying that the 144,000 carry the testimony. They are the one's who die.
Shouldn't take a lot of spiritualizing to get what I'm saying.

They carried the Ark of the testimony in the OT and they will 'carry' it again.

Jesus will lead the way, just like the Ark of the testimony went first into the Jordan.

He will lead the way by filling his Spirit(entering) into the 144,000 and reading out from the bible(witnessing of both covenants)

There's more scriptures that back up all this.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned about Rahab in Revelation. She's connects with Mystery Babylon The Great and the beast.

When I tell people that the Two witnesses are the bible they counter with what you are saying.
That they die in the street and are raised from the dead.
I'll stick with the literal meaning of scripture regarding the two witnesses, as there is no reason to spiritualize them. These are two literal men who, just as scripture states, will be prophesying for 1,260 days, which is that last 3 1/2 years of that seven year period.

I'm saying that the 144,000 carry the testimony. They are the one's who die.
It seems that you have the two witnesses and the 144,000 backwards. Scripture states that the two witnesses die and the 144,000 are caught up to God and his throne before the dragon/Satan can harm them. You need to present the scriptural proof of when you make these types of claim, which are contrary to what is written.

Hello Lifted,

And the reason that they do that, is because there is no scripture stating that the two witnesses are the bible, but are two actual men and therefore, so the burden of proof would be on you. First of all, there is nothing in the context that would lead the reader to interpret them as symbolic for being the bible and second, there is way too much detail that points to them as being literal men to come to your conclusion. To make your claim is complete conjecture.

The bible being two is hard to understand.

Its our wording sometimes, its going to be hard to guess what you might be linking that to, whether literally or symbolically of the law (for example Moses) and the Prophets (for example Elijah) these also being two men representing the way the scriptures are sometimes referred to in them. Unless you are referring to them (alone) as the testimony of Christ or meaning the law and the testimony? Or the testimony of Jesus Christ which is the spirit of prophecy Rev 19:10?

Heres two also, where you can see the two connect to his disciples also

Psalm 19:7
The law of the LORD is perfect, ( converting the soul )
the testimony of the LORD is sure, ( making wise the simple )

The Law and the testimony

Isaiah 8:20
To
the law and to the testimony:
if they speak not according to this word,
it is because there is no light in them.

Isaiah 8:16

Bind up the testimony,
seal the law among my disciples.

John 3:33
He that hath received his testimony
hath set to his seal that God is true.

1 Col 1:6
Even as the testimony of Christ
was confirmed in you:

Sometimes its just a matter of a few words to catch what someone might mean.

I always loved these

Is not
my word like as a fire? saith the LORD

Jerm 5:14
Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

And then we see with the two Olive trees

Rev 11:5
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

Slain here means killed here, even though he is speaking in this manner

Hosea 6:5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.

Sorry, I definitely have to agree with crossnote on this one. The Rev.11 description of God's two witnesses that appear in Jerusalem for the end is not something that can be spiritualized away. It is not a metaphor or parable or analogy. They represent two men who will be killed in Jerusalem with their dead bodies left laying in the street for three days and a half.

Yet, we are given a symbol along with them with the description of the "two candlesticks". And what are the "candlesticks" per our Lord Jesus at the end of Rev.1?

The scriptures only implies that they are two literal men.The 144,000 will be doing the prophesying. That's the day when true Spiritual knowledge is given to all God's people, and we will all stop fighting over scriptures among ourselves because Jesus himself is will give us the knowledge by his spirit through the 144,000.
The song of the 144,000 is true scripture knowledge.

There are seven spirits of God.Didn't God say that he will give you a new spirit and dwell in you?Wasn't God happy to have his fulness dwell in him?(Jesus)
There are seven churches, and the church of Philadelphia is the Spirit of the 144,000.
The open door that Jesus leaves open for them is the song of the 144,000.

In in the days of Joshua, the two witnesses (Joshua and Caleb) were the remnant. They will minster/carry (priests) the testimony.

I don't have a computer right now,so typing scripture will take me forever. Please check the scriptures.I will type one verse in the NIV

Revelation 14:1-2
Then I looked, and before me was the lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him the 144,000,who had his name and his fathers name written on their foreheads.
And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.

The rushing waters is the same water that Jesus offers to the samaritan woman by the well in John 4,and the harp is the song of the 144,000.

This is what you're missing from Rev.11:

Rev 11:4
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
KJV

What are the candlesticks per the end of Rev.1?

DITTO................................!

You also put yourself in the category of those whom the Lord Jesus refers to in Rev 22v18,19!

Do NOT trifle with the words written in the Revelation of Jesus Christ!

I'm hundred sure the two witnesses are the bible.Next time I'm on a computer I'll this up with more scripture.
Honestly in your mind, who can be the two witnesses that have the credentials for the end times testimony?
Moses and Elijah? Is their testimony greater then Jesus who is the faithful witness? The Bible is his testimony.
Look at what he says to Pilate.

John 18:37
"You are king,then!" said Pilate.
Jesus answered, "you are right in saying I am a king.In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world,to testify to the truth.Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.

If it was anyone other then Jesus to testify/witness to the truth it would defeat his very being into coming into the world.

By entering the temple through the remnant, Jesus will lead the way and give his testimony of the two witnesses(the bible)
Don't you get it?In this way it will be like before.
Jesus leading them into the Jordan(Ark of the testimony) the two witnesses are the remnant in a way, just like in the OT,because they will hold the testimony again.

Who else can the two witnesses be?How are they going to give the testimony to the whole world if you think they are two people? Technology? Why would he do that?He Doesn't need to glorify himself with something made by mans hands. He didn't even want a temple built remember? The world is his foot stool.
And if you think two literal people are gonna give the testimony by some other divine means, why didn't Jesus testify the truth by himself in the book of Acts?
