I understand there is a lot of propaganda and race baiting. However if I were a black man in the civil rights era and I were reduced to less than human and targeted just for existing then I might just be a little angry too. I told this story before but I will tell it again for the sake of this discussion. When I was in high school, a young African American man passed away on the football field of a heart attack. One day we were sitting around in the cafeteria discussing it and I heard someone say...." oh well, it's just another dead n*****"..... 20 something years later, this disgusting human being is a judge now. The very thought of this makes me sick at my stomach. This was probably the one event that changed my philosophy and made me want to speak out against racial injustice. Like it or not, white supremacy and white privilege are still very real things. White privilege is shooting 9 people in a church and being taken to Burger King. White privilege is shooting up an entire movie theater and being apprehended alive while a black man is choked to death for selling loose cigarettes.
