the lead singer Mark Mohr went to a Bible college in LA to be a pastor, yes. as far as i know, he's decidedly 'evangelical' - believing that Christ is the Messiah and the only way to salvation, the Son of God who came into the world and died on the cross for our atonement, raised again the third day and ascended to heaven, and will return again to gather His sheep and to judge the world.

probably if we search google for something like "Mark Mohr interview" or "Christifari interview" it will turn up some conversations with him where he talks more in depth about his beliefs. there's a short bio on the CHristifari website, here - http://www.christafari.com/artists/mark/ - but it's not really a "belief statement"
based on the lyrics from his songs, and having been to a concert of theirs, i'm pretty certain that he's very much a Bible-believing Christian in every sense that i think you would expect. i know that he was a Rastifarian for a while, but was converted and born again when he was 17, while at a Christian camp. he started the band at the same time, in late 1989 or 1990, and as a group they are involved in a lot of evangelical missions work, specifically towards trying to convert Rastifarians to true Christianity, because that's the background that he came out of.
