I also read long ago about some Plutonium workers as Los Alamos had so much Plutonium in their system they were part of the UPPU club. (you pee PU)

One such worker from what I read actually got a spec of PU stuck in his finger, and they could detect radioactivity from his urine. It took about 1 gallon of urine to detect the radioactivity but they could detect it.

You ever hear of the 5 love languages? There's a free test online, neat stuff. The book is by Gary Chapman. It talks about how people respond to words of affirmation, physical touch, quality time, acts of service and gift gifting...
In all the chaos i missed your post, sorry. Yes, i read the books years ago, too the test. I pretty much predicted my own answers though hahaha. Her and i actually match very well. We both had physical touch as top, gift giving at the bottom and the middle three all pretty close.

So I've been thinking about how simple the world could have been. God didn't have to make a complex ecosystem with millions of different kinds of animals and plants, all balancing each other out. God could have made us and grass, and us able to eat grass. It would make a slightly dull life for us but it would have worked.

But apparently God is an artist. With all the things to enjoy in this world it boggles the mind how anybody can be bored.

Two chemists go into a restaurant.
The first one says "I think I'll have an H2O."
The second one says "I think I'll have an H2O too" -- and he died.
Now that would be just like a chemist. Those poor people die in the most ironic/weird ways.

Meanwhile, at the mortuary...
"Boy... he sure did have nice, clean white teeth!"

By the way crosstweed, why does your avatar remind me of Star Trek: Voyager's Captain Janeway?

LOL I have absolutely no idea, but someone asked me in chat here the other day if I liked her... I was extremely confused and they never explained themselves... but maybe that's why. xD
I think Janeway looks a little like Katherine Hepburn.

So today I opened the box that came from an ebay seller yesterday. Inside was my new (well, new to me) Thinkpad T510.

I run my computer from a flash drive install of Linux Mint. The whole show is on the flash drive, the internal hard drive doesn't come into play at all. So my first move was to access BIOS and set USB devices to boot first if available. Or that's what I thought I was going to do... turns out it had already been done.

Finally, somebody who is a person after my own heart, and I have no idea who it is. And the person is across the country anyway.
