Don't be daft. I was referring to what I saw at the time I made my post. Now you dissemble some more. Either you were joking and meant something other than what you said or you were not. Which is it? You are taking up both positions now.

It seems to all be flying over your head now Magenta. I don't think this is edifying, want to call it quits? :)

Dear reader, Ember is right. I dared to suggest she was aggressive. I got page after page of stuff. I wondered how she got on with her husband, as she had mentioned he was different. The roof lifted off.

I was satanic, bribed the cc site, everything. Quite amusing in some ways, though not really relevant.
And yes I was sitting here with Ember rampaging about. "Deal with Ember" Now maybe I was wrong.
I have faced emotional volatile people in the past, and I know you do need to stand up to them in the end.

Now this was the sum total of the exchange. But I can handle it. And this is tame. But I do not recommend doing this unless you have armour on and are ready for the back lash. Ember has not really changed, but hey, it takes all sorts.

Now if you want to call me a sinner, lost, empty etc for this, fine, its a free world.

Am I sorry for doing this? Nope, because what happened proved my point 1000%. But I still love ember, and EG and Grace.
I just have no clue where they stand before the Lord, or even how they justify their behaviour and audacity to put everyone in their place and theirs is the only right view and all of us are possessed. Reeks of superstition to me just like Muhammed thought of. And their groups would be happy to link up with Islam, Chrislam I think some call it.

and we're off

you whoooooooooo....I'm still back here...keep going though and prove my point lol!

Defending double speak as you have just done speaks very poorly of your character.

Stop pretending you know what I know. You don't.

Sorry to anyone reading the last two pages of silliness. People wanting to go off on a tangent instead of staying on topic. Lets go back, His grace is sufficient. Quite a bit of doctrines have been born out of fear instead of trust.

Stay on topic, yeah? Lets drop this silliness. I don't know precisely what you stand for, but who you stand for is revealing.

Fear and trembling is misunderstood. It means a "lack of trust in one's own abilities." In other words, we are dependent upon Jesus Christ and rest in Him. Look in the Greek and other verses that use that saying, even the apostle Paul spoke of preaching with fear and much trembling, meaning distrusting in his own abilities and relying on the Spirit's power.

Oh but, We are supposed to earn our salvation.. we need to fear. or we may lose it..

If they actually opened their eyes, and read what they said, they would be horrified they even thought and said such things..

You and others who channel this spirit are too afraid to engage me directly because I know what I'm talking about, and you subconsciously know that your spirit will be exposed.

FWIW, all of the church fathers up until Augustine witnessed of man's free will. Augustine, the Manichean gnostic convert, taught that man was completely depraved (as the gnostics believed), and that man's free will became permanently impaired by the fall, and remains in bondage even after regeneration. This falsehood lies at the root of this controversy that we are currently experiencing, because Protestant theology is just a continuation and expansion of Augustinian theology.

You have yet to expose one person. All you have done is expose yourself as living in the past. and not hearing a word anyone has said

Don't forget this
And do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul, but instead fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

In other words, we should fear you and Peter.. and those like you who want us to earn salvation. and mock the cross of Christ.

because we could follow you and in doing so our souls will be destroyed.

Paul mentions working out our salvation, The greek shows it to be something we own. It is our salvation, we already possess it..

He is saying, work out what you already have, If you have a car, and it sits in the driveway it is useless. You need to get it, Take it out, to be able to make use of it.

Paul is saying, Use your salvation to be lights in the world. Live in a way no one can make a charge against you

He is not saying work to earnn your salvation..

THAT IS THE LIE OF SATAN!! there I just said it, ONLY I BACKED MY WORDS UP..

This is an excellent truth about doing "things" in the flesh or by the Spirit..now to some this may offend.....but it's for our greater good.....compliments of FreenChrist..he gave the quote out before and I borrowed it.

"You may have harnessed the energy of the flesh in an otherwise quite genuine desire to honor the Lord Jesus in your life. The flesh, which has its origin in Satan, will go along with you; to survive, it is quite prepared to engage in every form of Christian activity, even though this may seem to honor Christ.

The flesh will sing in the choir, teach Sunday school, preside at a deacons’ meeting, preach from the pulpit, organize an evangelistic crusade, go to Bible college, volunteer for the mission field, and a thousand other things, all of which may in themselves be otherwise legitimate, if only it can keep its neck out of the noose. The flesh will threaten, shout, strut, domineer, sulk, plot, creep, beg, plead, or sob, whatever the situation may demand in the interests of its own survival. By any and all means it will seek to cause every Christian to live by his own strength instead of by the power and grace of the Lord Jesus, and to conclude that doing so is actually a good thing!

The characteristic of the spiritually immature is that they are unable to discern between good and evil (Hebrews 5:13-14), and the baby Christian, like the foolish Galatians, “having begun in the Spirit” still tries to be “made perfect by the flesh” (Galatians 3:3).

We must be particularly patient with those whose lack of understanding allows a genuine love for the Lord Jesus to be satisfied with, and sometimes to be quite enthusiastic about, Christian activities involving means and methods which are heavily contaminated by the flesh. These are more deserving of instruction than rebuke, for they are still in their spiritual babyhood.

.....The flesh will seek to produce the most plausible arguments in justification of its own illegitimate activities, even though these activities are only what the Bible calls “dead works” (Hebrews 6:1; 9:14) and not the “good works” which are truly the work of God. “Good works” are those that have their origin in Jesus Christ, as Christ’s activity is released through your body because you present it to Him as a living sacrifice. You do this only by faith that expresses total dependence, as opposed to Adamic independence."

Lol, you had to let it out.

It sounds to me you have put too much thought into it.

Paul preached in fear and trembling. I think he was a very brave man, and often knew the situations were very dangerous, his life was on the line. I like the idea of bringing things back to simple life issues.

Jesus on the cross, in front of us, dying to save us. That is very humbling and real. In many ways it is hard to live with this idea because it is so brutal. Victory power of the resurrection, the Holy Spirit anointing, walking in purity and holiness.

Purity and holiness, hard concepts. Whole christian movements have aimed to walk in these things, communion with God helping us overcome our past and our carnal desires. I want to know more of this.

And yes I fail. Yes I have said a word here or there which gets remember and not forgiven, expanded into something else, but still the Lord is God. Do I regret trying? No, because without trying you never achieve and without knowing your enemy and being able to love them you never overcome. But why are you here? Are you here to serve our Lord or to fight others?

You have not put enough thought into it.

Paul is not telling us to fear losing salvation, He told us to fear not using the gift we have been given.

PAUL aways was afraid he would do one thing which would ruin his reputation. He wanted us to have that same fear.

HE never feared losing salvation, He reached to be bsent from the body was to be present with the lord. He taught his desire was to be home, not on this earth. But he would do what God wanted him to do. He taughyt the HS being his guarantee..

A man who fears losing salvation or it being a posibility does not say these things, PERIOD.

The part that "grace" believers leave out is - "if thy eye/hand offend thee".

Jesus was perfectly serious that if something about you offends to the point that it would result in you being cast into hell forever, it would be far, far better for you to do without that temporary thing than to suffer such an unbearable eternal fate. He was stressing the utter seriousness of avoiding hell.

"Grace" believers, of course, twist this around to make it say something entirely different than what Jesus meant.

No, He was stressing the utter necessity of needing HIM.

LOL. Yeah, that's what it is. We all live in fear of your superior knowledge. What a head trip you are on.

You might think posting a response is engaging in discussion, but what I say is never refuted. It's only denied and ignored.

It is only in your own little mind that you think you haven't been refuted. You are a legend alright, a legend in your own mind.

There is the difference between works-based performance and grace-based believing in the gospel.

..the works-based person believes they need to avoid something and then do something to make sure they are ok....(.AKA the flesh and self-effort ).

...the grace-based believer believes in the gospel of the grace of Christ and in the finished work of Christ and His sacrifice was sufficient....( AKA saved by grace through faith ) Ironically this makes them safe from what was feared to begin with.

No, He was stressing the utter necessity of needing HIM.
