I'm looking to get opinions of what Easter is. My opinion is that Easter is not new, it's just the fulfillment of Passover.
It is and what happened on Passover was he died as the lamb that takes away the sin of the world however it all didnt happen on the same day he rose from the dead on the day of first fruits this is why it is always a sunday (1st day of the week). as far as the pagan part well let each be persuaded by their own mind , we each must stand or fall before the one we serve and in the end shall answer to Him alone.

The reason I said pagan and holiday in the op was to stop people from turning this discussion into an Easter bashing thread. I celebrate Easter, I believe Easter is the right word to call it... you should have known that, as you aptly called me a KJV onlier.

what the event is or represents is not something for Christians to argue or debate over -
of who or what is right....just do what Christ in your heart tells you to do,,,

The first one is obviously a lamb... done by someone with a bit of an artistic flair. The second one may have started out with the goal of it also being a lamb, but it appears to have sadly sickened into a pitiful attempt at hoping to claim, at best, mutilated chickenhood.
When did it start? Did the Apostle Paul celebrate such a day? Did the early church celebrate such a day? I know the church was commanded to observe communion, but Easter or any other holiday?
Its like one of those INk-blots isn't it, "say the first thing that comes into your head". Someone will say it looks like Donald Trump no doubt.
Actually, we got ourselves a Bible believer.
Don't start all that rehtoric & propaganda again.
