wait a minute...wait a minute...isn't that Peggy's Cove? Sable Island hah!
(That you abide in him) I was hoping that you would give me the kind of answer i seek and you didThat you abide in Him. When He urges you to pray you do it out of His Love that draws you. That you don't get drunk and all those other sins. That you lay off bad words. Just everything Paul writes in His letters and I don't say that in one instance you have to be perfect, He looks at the heart. If there is a sin and He convinces you you seek help and prayer to get rid of it. Such things, sanctification.
Amen amen amen. So beautifully written(That you abide in him) I was hoping that you would give me the kind of answer i seek and you didTo be obedient to him to abide in him one cannot do it with works and cannot do it for the wrong reasons or motives. To abide in him is to rest in him to embrace and soak in his love, Jesus said if you love me you will obey my commandments but people misunderstand what he saying. He wasn't saying that you need to obey him because you love him this would give the implication that if we are lacking in obedience we don't truly love him.
No he was saying that because of the deep love we have for him and with him we naturally obey because love fulfills every commandment given by God Love is what gives us the eys to see the heart to understand and to love as only he does Love is mark of a true believer Love is what reveals the beauties and the deep and hidden secrets of his heart. when one's heart is filled with love he knows that the light of God reveals every darkness within him normally exposing all of this brings one to shame and to hide it and so they run away from God not wanting to have their sin and darkness revealed by his light.
But for a believer of Love they welcome his light to expose their darkness their sin their weakness and do not feel judged or condemned they are intrigued by this light noticing there is something strange something different about it and so they actively seek this light out they want to know this light to understand it to see experience and the beauty it radiates they want to become closer to it they want to become one with it.
True obedience true understand of who God is what he is who we are to and in him can only be achieved with a deep love
I did not call anyone out, but there has been antinomianism taught.. I would say in regards to the third use of the law. If I were to call someone out as you asked then I would be doing something wrong. As you know?
BTW I am not bickering here but answering your question which was out of topic. Here is what I said and there is nothing offensive..again read what I actully said. I am sorry Ben that you seem to have taken what I said about extreme views personally, why I don't know. But it doesnt matter. I mean that!
Just out of curiosity can you explain to me what being obedient is from your own perspective what you understand the scriptures to say about it? What is obedience what does it mean to be obedient what is required to truly be obedient?
I think you are right..it did say Sable Island but when I looked up Peggys'cove..i see that the rocks around it are the same....good catch!
you first...they're wild...I suggest crazy glue
do I get a free vacation now?![]()
Don't agree. They're always evangelists full of compassion for souls who totally lay their life down. Steve Hill for example.
This is about a lifestyle of sin and the warning texts of Paul, not an accidental sin. He came to set us free from sin, because we can't do it. If you give up He can do it and you go from Romans 7 to Romans 8.
This guy is full of love:

The grace to do mighty works of obedience lol
HeRose's post clearly shows that he does understand and accept it.Obedience is dependent on salvation Because unless your saved, YOU have no power to be obedient (No HS, or Human Spirit which can do good)
of course, the fact you do not understand this, Just shows how you have to depend on self for everything, including being saved..
Amen amen amen. So beautifully written![]()
So it must be so lol yes because of your doctrin. I was not saved as John was and Thorben Sondergaard who says he believes he got really saved when God set him totally free from having to do the same sins over and over, but I was a christian. I was a pastor's wife, I prayed 2 hours every morning, raised my kid from the dead, was healed, had a relationship with the Lord, spent hours a day with Him and did not live in sin at all and had forgiven everyone. If you call that a nonbeliever well I don't mind.
It is a lie that it's only unbelief. There are so many people who saw christians who lived in sin in hell. Do you believe married homosexuals go to heaven too? That guy I could not date now why would that be? The men in Holland do not wait til marriage and he called living in sin marriage. I live in Sodom and Gomorrah here. That's why I see girls backslide. They want a guy so they go live in sin because he doesn't want to marry. Paul says fornicators do not inhabit the Kingdom. He says do not be deceived. He's not talking to non christians here but to the Corinths who lived in sexual sin, then got saved, but he had to have birth pangs for some of them again because they had not converted from their former walk.
HeRose's post clearly shows that he does understand and accept it.
"Obedience is dependent upon the enabling of the holy spirit and our following it."
My redemption is eternal redemption, as Jesus is the captain of my salvation(Heb 2:10).
"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." Heb 9:12
I am safe in His blood, for His blood is eternal(Rev 19:13). His blood and grace teaches me to serve the living God(Heb 9:14, Titus 2:11-14), and because of His blood sacrifice, I strive to present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is my reasonable service(Rom 12:1-2). My eternal destiny is secure, not because of what I've done, but because of who He is....He clothed me with the garments of salvation, covered with the robe of righteousness(Isa 61:10), which is His righteousness. I am complete in Him. My salvation is not temporary but complete as it was promised to us since before the world began(Titus 1:2).
"And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power" Col 2:10
"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." 1 Cor 1:30-31
There's only one way to hold on to the anchor: faith. Detach the anchor and all hope is lost. Your thread title is fine.
As Ricky Ricardo always said..."IY YI YI YI YI!!" It's the Anchor that holds the ship, not the ship that holds the Anchor. It's the Anchor that holds when the ship is tossed in the ocean.
