Replacement theology, also called Supersessionism, is the false teaching that the Body of Christ/Church has replaced the nation of Israel regarding the plan, purpose and promises of God. They teach that Israel is no longer God's chosen people, instead the Church has replaced them. This view is far from Biblical. Those that believe this false doctrine will often go to Romans 11 to prove their heresy.

Romans 11:1 "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin."

In the above verse, the phrase "his people" is a reference to Israel, not the Church or "spiritual Jews". We know this because Paul gives his genealogical credentials. This verse is talking about the physical Israel and the physical tribes of Israel. Paul labels himself an Israelite and also calls himself a Jew by nature in Galatians.

Galatians 2:15 "We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,"

Every time the phrase "his people" shows up it will be a reference to the nation of Israel more than 90 percent of the time.

Deuteronomy 7:6 "For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth."

Exodus 3:7 "And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;"

Exodus 3:10 "Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt."

Exodus 8:1 "And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me."

Exodus 19:5 "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:"

Note: As Christians, we are to bless Israel. It would be wise to stay away from the conspiracy THEORIES about the Jews. Many physical Jews are located in Israel today. The government in Israel is not perfect (no government is), but it is not our job to put them down because America along with every other nation, besides Israel, is "as a drop of a bucket" (Isa. 40:15). Let us leave the judgment to God because God is very consistent with judging those that curse Israel. Any serious Bible Believer should be Pro-Israel.

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected, this has become the cornerstone. This came about from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? For this [reason], I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and will be given to a people who produce its fruits. Matthew 21:42-43

There are two Jerusalems taught in Scripture just like there are two women taught from Genesis to Revelation.

-There is Hagar and Sarah. The Slave Woman and the Free Woman. (Genesis 16:8)

-There is the woman Folly and woman Wisdom in Proverbs. Everybody will obey one. (Prvbs 1:20; Prvbs 9:13)

-There is the great Whore and the Mystery Woman who is "clothed with the sun" in Revelation. (Rev. 19:2; Rev.12:1)

Two Jerusalems! One is from below and one is from above! One is a slave and one is free!!

Revelation 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

The physical Jerusalem will be destroyed in the end times.

Luke 21:20
“When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.

The people living in Israel are really the Jews from the OT! Don't boast against them!

Romans 11:18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

Yep, the kingdom of God, the spiritual kingdom not the physical kingdom promised to them. Those promises are yet to come. The kingdom will be finally realized in both its nature, the physical and spiritual.

One is physical and one is spiritual. The spiritual is never referred to as the nation of Israel or the twelve tribes. The nation of Israel and its physical promises from God are yet to be fulfilled.

Yes, and I would add Romans 9:6 "Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."

There are two Israels talked about in the passage. One is just the physical Jew and the other is the physical Jew, who is also a spiritual Jew. The Israel of God in Galatians 6:16 are saved Israelites who constitute the true nation of Israel, spiritually. This passage in no way teaches that Israel has been replaced with the Church. Replacement theologians simply privately interpret scripture to fit their theology.

The Church and Israel are not the same thing. The Church does not get the promises that God gave Israel. The promises that God gave Israel were unconditional and not based on whether Israel stayed faithful or not. The promises were based on the faithfulness of God alone. Read Romans 11:11-29 and notice that the context is the unconditional promises of Israel.

I support inclusion theology. Through Jesus, God made a way to include Gentiles into the spiritual Israel that has always existed within physical Israel. They are not all Israel who are of Israel. It is not one who is a Jew outwardly, but one who is a Jew inwardly, these are the people of God. This has always been the case even before there was a church. The good news is that prophecy seems to make clear that national Israel will eventually acknowledge that Jesus is the Messiah. What will their acceptance be but life from the dead.

John 8:39 “Abraham is our father,” they answered. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did.

Romans 2:29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.

Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

The word Jew (Judah) means the one that give praise to God, and which most of them did not give Him praise. As it says that they has rehearsed demonstrations in the natural of showing love to God, but what is on the inside that counts because that is what God sees. All of the ones that God had accepted as His were the true Israelites, the ones that has struggled with their human nature and did not let it overcome them. Like Joseph, he did not seek revenge on his brothers for selling him into slavery; and Moses, after saving the Hebrew's life and then he were threatened by his own people to tell Pharaoh about his deed by the very ones that he has been protecting; but he still had came back and willing to give his life for them. It is in our nature to love those that love us, Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And so we are supposedly to be like God, the One that let it rain even on the unrighteous. So we are not to let what is in our human nature take over our soul.

Genesis 32:28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

Philippians 3:19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

Romans 6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

ALl I know is that when nations poke Israel with a stick they get bitten, just as the covenant still remains "those who bless will be blessed and those who curse will be cursed"[sic] America keeps on shooting itself in the foot from doing this. Hurricane Katrina was not about a few gay parades in New Orleans, it was down to America making Israel give up land and rule in Gaza.

Those who believe in replacement theology must also hold true to the "prosperity gospel." All of God's blessings are physical for this life, to prosper you, to give you wealth and good health. That's what God promised the nation of Israel.

Agreed, God has not forgotten about His people Israel. America better take note of what the Bible teaches.

John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Revelation 21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ...

Revelation 22:12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.

Never heard of it, so I looked it up. Supersessionism. Since you gave a false definition of what it is, I saw no reason to learn from the rest of your teaching.

I thought this might help you as a review of your teaching style and ability.

As I keep saying, not all of us are teachers.

The church has inherited the blessing promised to Israel. This is because Israel rejected Christ. God will keep His covenant with Israel and will save them as in a day when Christ returns. Zech. speaks of they shall look upon Him whom they have pierced.

God is using the Gentiles to provoke Israel to jealousy.

[h=1]Supersessionism[/h]Supersessionism is the traditional Christian belief that Christianity is the fulfillment of Biblical Judaism, and therefore that Jews who deny that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah fall short of their calling as God's Chosen people.
Supersessionism, in its more radical form, maintains that the Jews are no longer considered to be God's Chosen people in any sense. This understanding is generally termed "replacement theology."

In recent times, the doctrine of supersessionism has been blamed for mistreatment of the Jews in the past. Some liberal Protestant groups have therefore formally renounced supersessionism, affirming that Jews and other non-Christians have a valid way to find God within their own faith, which breaks from historic Protestant teaching. Dispensationalism affirms that salvation is only through faith in Christ, and that Jews fall short of obtaining the kingdom of the promised Messiah, unless they are converted to Christianity. However, in their view, a future mass conversion will result in the restoration of the nation Israel prior to the Millennium, apart from the church dispensation. This anticipation of a future role for the ethnic and geo-political nation of Israel in the plan of God, apart from the Church, is what is meant by some dispensationalists who style themselves as rejectors of "supersessionism" or "replacement theology", and thus they are using the terms in a way that is distinctive to their expectation of future events.

Agreed, and the natural branches will be grafted in again one day and God will fulfill the covenant He made with them.

Romans 11
[SUP]26 [/SUP]And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
[SUP]27 [/SUP]For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

God's physical people will inherit the land of Israel including Jerusalem where the King of Kings will sit upon His throne and rule for 1,000 years.
