He's not apologising. He's basically saying, "screw you, Christians", I'm better than the lot of you and you're all stupid for believing in God".
Ok, that's how I originally read it.

I can understand, re reading his op I can see how it can be seen how you saw it. But even so I think more than anything he is hurting and is frustrated. If I misunderstood his intent then I am the one who owes you an apology, I don't know for sure if his intent was honest and just isn't good with words or if it was what you originally thought but if it in fact isn't honest then i would like to give you my apology in advance and that I feel bad for misunderstanding and then getting on to you.

But even so some of the responses even if that was the case were not at all Christ like.
No worries Blain, we're all good. I'm open to being called out if I'm in the wrong.

The thing for me is when people are struggling or hurting, it is frustrating to see blame placed on so many external things, because it's so unproductive. it truly doesn't accomplish anything, so hopefully Alexander can get a grasp on that and figure out how to move forward without dwelling in bitterness.

Honestly I kind of dodged a big bullet there, I was in the wrong and had you responded any other way getting upset at me and then I re read and find out I was in the wrong I would feel so bad that Might not have recovered from it for a while

Umm sometimes sarcasm tends to slips past me especially in a forum where I cannot hear his voice. But re reading it ya I was in the wrong however we still should respond in kindness and patience

He's been here before. People gave him time and attention and he responded this way every time.Sometimes people need a wake up call. This is one of those times.

I came thinking I could have found someone who made a strong six-figure income, and took some time out of their day to find someone they can guide. I was foolish to have thought so. Many Christians I have met...95% of them, have not achieved success, and the 5% that have...are not on sites like this.

well, you're wrong.
and i'm pretty sure the problem here is that you think "success" = money. you still think like the world thinks.

i have "success" -- and it has nothing to do with what's written on my paycheck or what's in my bank account. nothing at all.

i'm sorry Alexander, but i know one day you will come to understand. i hope that on that day, you will find joy, instead of regret :)

If you want money...you want to be admired by the opposite sex...if you want a house in the next 2-5 years...if you want blessing for your business or enterprise to thrive...if you want ANYTHING of gain in your life..
dude, you have no idea what "gain" in life truly is!

all the things you're looking for, they are vanity.

Sorry.

i haven't seen any of the other threads you were involved in. so i don't really know what you think you have to apologize for. but um.. thanks?

i am also sincerely sorry that you think that material wealth and being attractive to women is "success." that's not something i can 'apologize for' though -- it's sympathy.

and i'm more than sorry - actually disturbed - that you think you've been pursuing those things "in Christ"

does that even make sense to you, where i'm coming from here? are you some kinda victim of Creflo Dollar or something ?

Creflo Dollar is a fool. Thankfully, I retain the wisdom to understand that.

It's a root of hurt...a sense of justice I was looking for...repair...restoration of the damage from the past. I have visualized that to be worldly wealth.

In any case, it cant happen. I will remain here, on the site, fellowshipping with other users and trying to be an encourager on the chat, but I will restrain all future posts on forums to ones on edification and respect of goodwill, and if needed, an opportunity to listen and be a friend.

False expectations. They can be damaging.

I would like to apologize, Christian family on ChristianChat.

I am apologizing...because I placed an unfair expectation on many of you. I came to ChristianChat expecting to find out how to become rich in God, gain the money needed, give back to prosper Christianity, and move from here. I now know that to not be the case.

I also apologize...because I assumed many of you here had achieved wordly success, and may have known how to achieve it in Christ. I'm not potshotting anyone, but if someone truly was able to achieve worldly success in life, I should have known better than to think they would have the physical time required to fellowship on an online forum. That was my fault, and I'm sorry for expecting more than I should have.

I came thinking I could have found someone who made a strong six-figure income, and took some time out of their day to find someone they can guide. I was foolish to have thought so. Many Christians I have met...95% of them, have not achieved success, and the 5% that have...are not on sites like this.

I came looking for money, success, a dream, and a vision, ALL IN CHRIST, to make my life better. You cant do that on the internet. You need to go through the process, and fight for your success. I have over 20 years of failures, dissapointments, loneliness, frustration, and denial, and for me to have thought Jesus could fix or cure it...makes ME the idiot for pursuing that angle, and I'm sorry I came here with that focus.

If you came here to feel better and be in fellowship, amen. You're in the right place.
If you want money...you want to be admired by the opposite sex...if you want a house in the next 2-5 years...if you want blessing for your business or enterprise to thrive...if you want ANYTHING of gain in your life..

...Jesus Christ cannot help you. At all.
All he did was offer himself to die on a cross for your sins.
If your life is great, fantastic, you have an added benefit in Jesus' selfless sacrifice.
If your life sucked, sorry. Jesus' death and ressurection is the only thing you can look forward to.

Folks, the bible wasn't meant for victory in this world. It's just a history of God.
God blesses some. He curses some.
If you were blessed, lucky you. BE SUPREMELY THANKFUL.
If you were cursed, God crapped on you. Sorry. Better luck next time. God expect you to be thankful for your lack of blessing. If you're a believer, you must be thankful for the crap he loaded on you.

Some of you are ok with that. AWESOME.
Some of you are disturbed by that fact. Sorry. THIS is the truth of Christianity.

Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. The end.
Anything else, you're on your own bub.

I understand now, CC.
Sorry for all of that. I wont be pushing any issues anymore, because the truth has been laid to bare.

If you desire success, it's not God who blesses you with it...it's your OWN COMPOUNDED ACTIONS, over a CONSISTENT and PERSISTENT period of time, that make the difference.

This is the truth.
Make your decision.

Good day.
You are just full of yourself, aren't you? This is the biggest pile you've dumped out, and you haven't been constipated since you've been on this site. The only people who are going to feel sorry for you are the people who don't read your long rant. There was absolutely nothing true in there other than you ARE sorry, but not in an "I goofed"/"forgive me" kind of way.

I started digging ditches. Learn a skill man. Being able to do stuff with your hands is a great blessing. Ain't that right Mitspa.
Less blisters on your hands babysitting, cleaning out kennels, weeding the grounds at a Holiday Inn, or cleaning the third floor of a frat house without a/c in August. Just sayin'. If you're going to work with your hands, there are ways that don't leave as many blisters. lol

What kind of apology is that? Better to not offer one than to provide one that is insincere.

If you're looking for advice on how to get rich quick, then you're correct, this website is not going to meet that end for you.

you made a previous post about how in a survey, you wrote you hate everyone, lacked confidence, and dont have friends or relationships with other people. Looking for some kind of wealth guru isn't going to magically fix all of that. God isn't an ambiguous wish granting genie, but I'm sure you have come to that realization by now.

Looking for meaning in worldly riches is ultimately going to lead to more disappointment. The world does not owe you a single thing.

There are a lot of folks on here who can certainly speak to dealing with rejection, social anxiety, loneliness, job loss, building their own business, etc but you're looking for answers to the wrong problem.

God bless.
There was no apology in that. That was a child continuing a very, VERY long tantrum.

your response here.... is unacceptable. he came here with the fleshly and worldly mind but left and came back with a renewed one understanding his mistakes and learning from them and he apologized and did the best he could to express himself. He did good he came out clean admitted his mistakes and learned and even did his best to let us know how sorry he was everyone understood this but then you say something like this.

I would very much appreciate it if you gave an apology to him for your remark
No Hellooo is spot on. You're misreading this one. Inverted temper tantrums and playing the victim card isn't changing. It's pretending to care. And, your misreading everyone else's response too. No one is buying this back handed slap as anything but a back handed slap, except you. Reread. You faded out reading what he writes somewhere in the middle, when it gets dripping with manure more at the end to hide what he's saying.

Blain, thanks for saying this, I COMPLETELY misread the tone of the original post. Completely.

Alex, I truly apologize, when I read what you were saying, I thought you were being sarcastic for most of it, but that's my bad for just reacting without clarifying.

I'm glad that you experienced a shift in your expectations brother.

God bless both of you.
No. You got it right the first time.

Ok here is the deal, if you want to be wealthy, their is no secret to it. You have to create wealth. You have to make something that is of a monetary value that another person is willing to exchange currency for. Any other notions of making wealth is paramount to building a house on sand. The problem you will have like most people is coming up with a product to exchange for curency. You have to come up with something new and be first to market, if not you are just competing for an ever shrinking slice of pie. So good luck with that. But if you really want to be sucessful, neal before the Lord and accept his gift of salvation. Who knows he may just bless you with what you are looking for.
Actually, I come from generations of success of various kinds in my family. 25% of the time it's from a product. 75% of the time it's from a service. (I know how to get rich, just never thought of any particularly good enough reason to make it a life mission. God has never given me the heart to think that's what he wanted me to do. Ended up with six-figures at one point, but health issues crashed faster than the stock market in the first decade of this century. Oh well. It was a bit scary, but not compared to the rest of that story.)
