I disagree Jason,
Love ceases to be love when it doesn't protect.
Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.
You might want to click on the link to see how the other Bibles render it.
But basically, if you are going to survive, you can't be the way you are towards false theology because the violent people will take Christianity by force.
Jude 1:3 ¶ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
The word "contend" means to fight nonviolently and I'm not suggesting that we become violent here.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which
kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
The word "kept" means "to guard":
Blue Letter Bible - Lexicon
What were they guarding it from? It isn't like anyone invaded before? But we hear that Satan took one third of the angels with him.
Genesis 2:15 ¶ And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to
keep it.
Did they do a good job at keeping the garden safe?
The word "keep" it means to "guard":
Blue Letter Bible - Lexicon
Do you think they did a good job? Guard it from what? It isn't like anyone invaded the garden before. What were they supposed to guard it from?
The violent took the kingdom of God by force.
Do you know what the meaning of the word "nice" means?
The word “Nice” comes from the Middle English (word) meaning
“foolish” and that word came from the Anglo-French word meaning "silly, simple" and that word came from the Latin word "Nescius" which means "ignorant". The Latin root is a compound word.
Ne means "not".
"Scire" means "knowledge".
It is where we get the word science from. Basically the word “Nescire” or “Nescius” means to know nothing.
Now, the point is not to demonize people and say that nice people don't know anything or that they choose to destroy the Church but using this kind of language got my message not approved on a blog today. Am I doing pretty good to be banned all the time? If you are living godly then it is par for the course and I must be doing good because I think I’m under par.
The word "Logos" for God which is the same word used for Jesus in John 1:1 means "logic" and "reason" and people who choose to be nice are not using logic and reason. They’re being what they think God is but they aren’t. The way to correct this is to show people we are to treat others better than ourselves, we're to treat people with gentleness and respect, and we're to love others but we're not to shy away from the truth.
2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Being "nice" is systematically destroying Western Civilization and the church.
We can be nice about saying what we think but other people don't think we're nice when we call social ills for what they are. So it is but it isn't.
So "nice" refers to an undiscerning Christian.
