Can't teach men. The exception might be in missions where there isn't another man around that they can teach but not as pastor. I can defend this but it isn't easy on a tablet.
Wrong .. and so wrong I'm sure its not worth the effort it would take to correct someone that believes this?Paul said that women must wear a veil when they "prophesy" - which means "to preach" / "to be God's spokesperson".

Are you serious? I didn't say they didn't have veils or never wore veils ..its not what the scripture is saying nor would ANY honest person try to translate covering as veil ...its just sillyGenesis 38:14-15
Genesis 24:65

Sorry your pal Chuck, clearly does not know the scripturesI usually defer to Chuck; he knows the scriptures, but I think the bible supports a woman as a temporary pastor. I won't go into the different scenario's. It may be a unusual situation, but I would not discount it as un-scriptural.
And the word does not prohibit a woman from being a junior pastor under the leadership of a man, or even co-pastor under a mans authority in certain circumstances too.
And I know this is somewhat outside the focus of the subject, but certainly woman can preach. That is not the same as being a pastor though.
I would draw the line at saying a woman should be permitted to permanently pastor a church. I think the word implies that is not scriptural.
God's word does allow flexibility in different cultures and eras, but some things are timeless and unmovable.
