See previous verses), shall be humbled.....brought low, (pride comes before a fall, destruction. Proverbs 16:18). This is NOT rocket science guys. Why can't you see it??

I'm trying to determine whether I should call such Christian gnosticism (gnostics who clothe themselves in Christian garb), or gnostic Christianity (Christians who are influenced by a gnostic spirit/teaching).

Look who's judging here. You judge me falsely. I'm not a mind reader. Its not even spiritual discernment. The word of God is judge and jury. Its our guide. We are to judge those things within. 1Cor. 5:12.

No one wants to be serious about one of the most serous issues at hand. The assembly of the saints. Most Christians are 'forsaking the assembly' .....the one ordered by the Lord in said chapters.

Have you ever considered that the church had to change somewhat to accomodate the masses? Have you ever considered most pastors usually feel humble in their position. Yes, there are bad apples. You can't use their example to call all pastors into question. Reminds me of the parable of the Wheat and Tares.

I SERVE a local church. The local church choose me by a vote of the members. They can vacate the office any time they choose. I count it an honor to SERVE these people for almost 20 years now.

Ive always maintained that if men are exalting themselves with titles and tithes, they are gong against the word of God. That does NOT make me evil.
And you have not answered these scriptures. I'll keep searching for your input. Do you really believe I personally inserted these chapters in some covert way just to drive you berserk? Please answer.

I'm glad you serve but where in the world does the bible teach us to "vote" for a "spiritual" leader? The whole "church" concept has been corrupted ..even from the rise of the RCC and the Protestants have taken on many of their heresy's ...when do we go back to the Spirit of God and power and reject these false forms of godliness?

We follow the example of Acts when the church voted on the replacement for Judas.
They prayed for gudience and selected from those quilified by casting lots.
Is that the perfect way, I don't know. But it seems better than a hierarchy or commity choosing or just some individual starting his own "church" preaching his own doctrine, with the members having no say in who teaches or leads them.

I keyed in on "spiritual" leader. I think this is what the world has changed the pastor into.

Because the pastor is not a spiritual leader. They study and teach. And that is IT. What they choose to do in their spare time and go over and above studying and teaching is up to them. But they are only commanded to study and teach,study and teach,study and teach.

We are all believer priests and we all have our own priesthood. We are responsible for our spiritual Growth. Not the Pastor.

We are to train them up. You and your church should be looking and recognizing men in your church that have the gift of teaching and give them doctrine and truth to send them out when they are ready.

And every need that we have is in His word. The problems are going to come. The solutions should already be in place.

This is the major issue. Every problem we have has a solution in the Word. If the Word is being properly taught, the sheep have the solution before the problem comes.

But if the Word is not being properly taught, the sheep have no solutions when the problems arise...........this is why church is more like a psych ward in todays world.
