That msg one person said about 50something guys
going after girls half their age is kind of a shame....

I don't know guys like that, I know I'm not, and it really
does stink if that's any woman's constant experience,
especially our sisters.

I understand the anger over that,
but I really don't think all guys are like that. I hope not.
You twist what I say again! Why? You must have some ulterior motive.

What does this have to do with women pastors...?
Awwww, come on now. I saw you trying to read this whole thread from the beginning. What percentage of the whole thread have to do with women pastors? Even when folks were talking women pastors it didn't necessarily have anything to do with women pastors.

By now, NU2 is just trying to clarify what he said a few pages ago. People got angry with him for things he didn't mean to sound like what they happened to sound like to some.

That's another thing women do that don't make for great pastors -- we have a knack for misreading people, because we're usually taking in everything personally. And then we throw it back at the guy who didn't mean it that way in the first place but hand it to him in a completely unrelated way -- like this. Another form of snookered.

Awwww, come on now. It is not like they have not completely misread and misrepresented the things others have said, either. Because they have!

Awwww, I know that. It's not a two-way street. It's a 200 way street.

Okay. This is sydlit. He is back to the same lines and message and flirting and controlling. He will crank it up until he gets out of control again and gets banned again. My suggestion to the women in here is that you not pm with him, which he seeks at some point and then becomes inappropriate but in sneaky ways, but I'm out of here because he has made the thread unpleasant and uncomfortable for me. So you ladies carry on, I'll talk to you later.

What does this have to do with women pastors...?
I could have said this about 75% of the posts on this thread, the fact that it's said here about mine, after I had my words twisted and used against me is rather telling.
What's funny is I've been one of the few who've been supportive of women in the body of Christ, I made one remark about how it seems that if a guy is alone but has had his share of relationships, he seems to get alot of women rushing to help him, but if a guy has always been alone, he tends to get left that way...I don't know why that is, I was just pointing out a fact, and have now twice had my words twisted, even after explaining myself, and now am being falsely accused as well. Very sad.

You twist what I say again! Why? You must have some ulterior motive.
MUST?!
Do you wish to explain this accusation?
Wow, I'm sorry, but I really don't know where this is coming from.

This is what you said.....
--->I have been rejected many times over and probably so has every single woman on this site despite how easy you say it is for us to be in a relationship if we wanted to be.<---
A: If that's true about nearly every single woman on this site,
that totally stinks, and as I said before, I'VE BEEN ON YOUR SIDE, I don't know why I'm being treated like I'm not, and I don't know who all these bums are that are rejecting all these good women, but I think they are Morons for doing so. I just don't know who these guys are, as I said before,
I know it's not me, and most guys I know in church are pretty decent guys, so it's sad to hear these kind of rejections happenihg so frequently, and if it's coming from christian guys, that's even worse, shame on them.
Having always been alone and knowing how painful that can be, I just don't get all this rejecting of women going on. I've been rejected and left cold, I know how it feels. Guys that are doing this to good women, and christian women even, are nuts and need to have their head examined.

B: Just to clarify, my earlier statement was not
necessarily about women being in a 'relationship',
what I said was if someone didn't want to be alone.

--->And when you are fifty, men your age want thirty five years olds, not women their own age. Thirty five year olds who are blond and slim and so much more than just breathing<---
This is a rather broadbrush statement, but
again, I don't know these guys, but I'm not challenging
your statement or your experiences, that stinks.

There are appealing women of all ages, shapes, sizes,
colors even, (including purple), also gifts and talents,
so this loosely ties in to the thread as well,
and if it's God's will and love is applied,
it is probably a beautiful thing when two
people unite, but even without that, christians should not
be rejecting each other, especially over age, body shape,
and hair color, that's the world's way, not Jesus'.

But I'm sure that's why some guys like me get rejected,
....not fitting the high standards of physical acceptance.
I'm insisting on believing in love, and I'm learning that it
makes no difference how ppl are choosing to treat me, or
what they think of me at any given moment, God says love.

Thank you, Lynn...
I realize I have a hard time explaining myself,
or maybe I get misjudged because of the way
some guys treat women or how some women
have been treated, so I'm an easy target to be
a fall guy, but it's really not fair, and when it comes
from christians, I just feel bad and shake my head,
so it's nice to be told somebody gets me, Lynn,
and I know how much you're going through right now,
so it's especially a blessing coming from you today!

Thank you so much.
(P.S. Offer still stands for you and John, of course,
and many are praying for you here. Anytime, okay?)

How long have you been born again?

Me? 44 years. "Dress modestly." Covered withing the first week, month, next month, following month for 527 months. By now, it's like:

Okay, children, today I will teach you how to read. The first lesson is the first letter in the alphabet.

A. A. A. A.

(Six weeks later.)
A. A. A. A.

(12 years later.)
A. A. A. A.

What must all women learn. "Dress modestly."

I find it offensive that it's 44 years later and we're still on the first letter of the alphabet. Easy letter. Doesn't take that long to learn. So exactly why is it constantly harped? "Gonna talk to those silent women in church. Let's talk about dressing modestly. After all they're dumber than mentally impaired turkeys, so really drive home the lesson..

And, if you think I'm kidding, what are the only two lessons being taught to women on this post?"Dress modestly cuz guys can't hep 'emselves," And "shut up in church."

Is there a natural tendency in guys that they just don't want to fill our pretty little heads with something semi interesting? Let's not overwhelm the poor little girl over the rest of the book. Let's really get them down to "Dress modestly."

And then? Then we can flog them for not knowing how to dress modestly for every single man they come in contact with. I'm mean, they're so incredibly dumb, what else can we try to teach them?

Nifty idea. How about not treating women like morons?

We are just going to have to politely disagree.
It is a two way street, I think I said this before. Woman should dress modest, men have to be gentlemen.
I think it is that simple.
Far be it for me to tell anyone, men or woman how to dress, not even a GF or wife, but i can say if she was dressing in a in a less then modest manner around me, she probably would not be GF material for me anyway, much less wife.

Pffff men...
'Women can just like that get a man.'
'Who are you looking at? 20 year olds?'
That means:
45+ year olds don't get a man that easy, they wish.
That's all she said.
Here you may need this:

He seems to be, imho, lacking the joy of Christ.
A woe is me type of attitude. No offense to you N2.
And w/o self confidence. It is good to be realistic about oneself, but you seem to be down on yourself, like you are even possibly overly needy.
I hope this does not come of as insensitive, it is just the way I read it.
Even to me, and I am a male, it is almost border line creepy-ish.
Just that is the way I am interpreting your posts.

And it is completely off subject.

Easy for someone like you, but I think I get your M/O.
Walk a mile in my shoes before judging me, okay jack?

Walk a mile in my shoes before judging me, okay jack?
What do you mean by that, someone like me?
God gives us all gifts and talents. Your no different. And I am not equipped to do some things you can.
I am not judging you. I made it a point to say do not be insulted, I was just making an assessment based on your posts.
Whatever your situation, I am sympathetic, but there are people far worse off then you.
How about what is going on in Syria and Egypt and other areas in the middle east where our Christian brothers and sisters are being slaughtered for their faith.
Sorry to say this, but it seems to me that you need to have a paradigm shift and evict that woe is me spirit and strive to reach your manly Christian potential.
If you want, I will pray for what you like. I would like to.
Pray for me. That I have the wisdom to raise to young girls, one who needs cochlear's. Thank you.

Please don't hi-jack this thread. PM me if you want.

Back to this thread, do you think woman should be pastors?
