Too many pages to keep up on every post. I think I'll leave this issue between the two of you. I have no dog in the fight so I'll stay out of it.
I haven't read the last pages, no idea what it is about but according to Proverbs it's always fun to pull a passing dog's ears.

Gossiping? Lol. She flat out made stuff up about me. Im actually don't recall seeing the woman's name on this site til
last night.
S'alright. I don't remember you on this site until yesterday, but you've been here for five years. lol (It could be you changed your avatar. I do remember seeing someone named Elizabeth before yesterday. Avatars throw me.)

(I've got the memory of a sieve.)

Well this would be a different set up of a service. We would come to a church and take the entire service. We would sing,my father would speak. So it wouldn't be your typical service. The pastor
would step aside and let us have the service. During those times I felt led to speak I would.
Oh, okay. So your service is unlike any type I've ever gone to. Hard to compare then.

Good morning Jd!
Do not be drawn into this without firmly holding in your mind the difference between A church and THE church. One day God will say to THE church, come out of her, My people.

We who are THE church have been told how to spot those who are our brothers and sisters. It works very well. We look for good fruit. What are the fruits of the Spirit in us?
We had fruit trees in the neighborhood. The owners of those trees, (including my family), didn't necessarily pick the fruit in a timely fashion. Often the fruit was just eaten off the tree and the rest rotted off. I distinctly remember the smell of rotten fruit. I wouldn't keep talking about fruit inspection if I were you. Especially since you keep assuming it is your duty to inspect improperly.

So is a pastor a deacon or a bishop or neither?

I think all those services are hard to compare. I could have called myself a pastor woman years ago and have everyone get mad, while I only once or twice taught 5 women a sermon my ex wrote from a paper in a room, not on sunday, because it was about women issues and it was weird if he did that. In our services (a tiny group in a house now) it's normal for a woman to say something or give a testimony before or after the preaching.
Once went to Canada. Pastors conference. One woman who was an elder or elder's wife whatever didn't dare talk to me because I was the wife of the senior paster. Senior paster LOL we had 20 people and 2 elders or decans. Can't even remember. It was that important.

The Baptist church I attended had a deacons council of men who voted and made decisions about the church,..so I don't think pastors are deacons...but then what is a bishop? I know Roman Catholic bishops oversee a region with many pastors underneath, but that doesn't define pastor...all these terms...kind of confusing.

She was gossiping about depleted...totally wrong but hopefully everyone will pray and seek reconciliation.
Ohhhhhhhhhh. Ok. It is wrong. My mistake. The fact she was gossiping at all as a way to demean someone shows you have no credibility stunned. You should be ashamed. Of depleted has been dealing with issues and anger you should be kind and compassionate. Not cruel.

I think a lot of the confusion is maybe we each have a different idea on what the roles are? It looks to some that I'm saying women shouldn't teach at all which is far from what I meant. Women are very important in the church. We are necessary for a church. I'm pretty sure others may not see what im saying fully

Roman Catholic have priest not pastors....I asked a pastor what the difference in terms meant once. It was interesting. Not sure If I can articulate it correctly but I can give it a go if anyone is interested. Otherwise I will just go clean my house or pray with someone.

There are many times, many times, the hard question goes unanswered. I repeated this one three times, amidst people condemning of a woman leading a congregation, which I happen to agree with, on Biblical grounds, that a man should pastor. On the other hand, I cannot see it spiritual this church should be shutdown, and the question was avoided, by people who can, otherwise, wrail all day against women. I'm surely here less than you, but I have seen repeated instances where hard questions are wholly avoided, as well as clear scripture to the contrary unanswered. I can't count the times a precise post has been answered with non-sequiturs that avoid the issue, mine and others, people who make all sorts of claims who can't defend their claims. Finally, one person here said the pulpit of that church should be empty, then. I don't find that a good answer, when people have been growing spiritually and have been saved, with no man to fill in the gap. The guy tells me it all comes down to corn cobs. Neither is that so satisfying. I was seeking an answer, clearly from somebody not on my side of this, as a matter of fact, so I don't see where my question had anything to do with my sympathies for this church, which remain, and expecting anybody to agree with me. Simply, the question was completely avoided. Also, the Pharisees were great at letter-of-the-law pontification, often oblivious to righteous judgment.
By the way, yes, many times questions go unanswered. I asked a question regarding context and exegesis about 3 times, and not one person in opposition to my view took a go at it.

Most of it is misunderstanding. But some points we just don't agree with.

I like everyone to clearly state what they believe and see what we agree on, then examine closely what we don't agree on and explain rationally why or why not....but that could be wishful thinking.

Does this mean my boyfriend and I should break up? Even though I have no idea who my husband is?
Are you, by any chance, and Entwife?

Merry: Why are there so few of you, when you live so long? Are there Ent children?
Treebeard: [Sadly] Burarum. There have been no Entlings for a terrible long count of years.
Merry: Why is that?
Treebeard: We lost the Entwives.
Pippin: Oh, I'm sorry. How did they die?
Treebeard: Die? No. We *lost* them. And now, we cannot *find* them.
Treebeard: [hopefully] I don't suppose you've seen Entwives in the Shire?
Merry: Can't say that I have. You, Pip?
Pippin: [thinks for a moment] What do they look like?
Treebeard: [pauses] Hrrooom... I... don't... remember... now.
