For me. And maybe others can see this? The irony is just oozing.

Transference Arrogance~~that which the accuser try's to accuse others of is exactly what the accuser is guilty of doing.

Gnosticism is closer to their belief system than Grace alone believers.
I'd love to have a discussion about gnosticism with folks here. Everybody seems to know so much about it. How about you good fella? You seem to be a real expert.

I always like to bring up the fact that Jesus making the mud with His Spit was a bit of the humor of God.

the Jews had a man made law that one could not spit in the dirt on the Sabbath.......it was considered making mortar(work.) But they could spit upon rocks and surfaces that didn't have dirt to make mud.
That's a good observation ..thanks...

It does seem that our Lord did a lot of stuff on the Sabbath day. When we rest...He works!...this is a beautiful picture of us resting in the finished work of Christ...and His grace and life get manifested in our lives.

Hebrews 4:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST,"although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

[SUP]9 [/SUP] So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

[SUP]10 [/SUP] For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.

Seems to me you know the most about it. Why is that? Perhaps you an adherent of it?
Now that sounds like transference arrogance.

I know because I've studied it. Researching hyper grace led me down that path. Never expected to find such a match. So no, I'm definitely not an adherent.

This is a Christian website ... not a Gnostic website ... maybe you should look for a Gnostic website?

I say you are an adherent of Gnosticism. And you promote it through the guise of "fighting" it with others who don't believe in it, but you have placed your belief system upon them.

Promoting your false agenda of Gnosticism while seeming innocent of it.

OK. What is gnosticism and how do my beliefs align with it?

FWIW, what you said is what the group of false accusers here would call a false accusation, but i just look at it as ignorance and don't get ill about it and start throwing stones.

Which would be the reason why you would want to fill the boards with Gnosticism debate. Who cares how the message gets spread, at least it is spreading..........you sneaky guy you!

What came to me was slightly different. When sin does not posses your soul, lusting after anything is so empty. Why would a car or a house, or a powerful job, or a sexual relationship with that woman matter, because you know the King.

When you see people possessed by these dreams destroying the things that matter, it breaks your heart.
Many hate what they do every day and the people they work with. They hate what they fake, the fake life, the fake show, the fake feelings, the fake pretence.

Obedience is not a burden when you see this reality, it is life, there is nothing else. Fear and failure stalk many in their lives, and they literally do not know rest, and die trying to stop what they cannot keep slipping out of their grasp.

So words I am not sure can fully encompass it all, it is for me just walking in the Kingdom.
I appreciate you sharing your own thoughts.

I do not appreciate when people speak for others.

I guess I should have said Christian gnosticism. Christian gnostics infiltrated the ranks of the early church and tried to co-opt it by claiming that they were the true Christians. People don't have problems talking about the pharisees, but probably don't realize what a fight the early church had against Christian gnostics for several centuries, which was much longer than the period the church had to deal with Judaizers. Christian gnosticism didn't disappear any more than legalism has..

I am not missing Jesus's point. These believers thought they knew Jesus, but they did not.
The warning is plain. Power church is no church without changed hearts and obedient wills.

Many here have raised power signs as more important than heart change or reality and walking in love.
It is this truth that is denied by many, which I was not aware of before was so prevalent.
Power signs?

Says the guy who believes that a Christian can commit any sin, and as many sins, as they want and still be saved. Just like the Christian gnostics believed.

Interesting side-note: Apparently today is the anniversary of Christ's death, according to some traditions.

Another interesting side note: My wife asked what was occupying my attention. Her response after I told her: "I don't wanna go back to that site. The people there make me not want to be a Christian.. some of them are nice... but that Bible Discussion Forum.... people are so mean!"

Is there a sin or work of the flesh that you would say a Christian cannot commit and still be a Christian?

Says the guy who believes that a Christian can commit any sin, and as many sins, as they want and still be saved. Just like the Christian gnostics believed.

I personally, prefer talking about the true teachings of the Bible rather than about false teachings...

But each to their own~
