Make it easy for you, you can answer simply yes or no...,

1. Can an unmarried or divorced man be a pastor?

2. Can a man whose children are not Christian or have blatant disregard for Christian morals (drunkeness, promiscuity, etc.) be a pastor?
Should we allow homosexual marriages because there are problems in heterosexual marriages?
Do you see where this argument is going?

I got the same arguments from Homosexuals on another large message board. I'm not saying you are.

You both are being illogical and not really answering the questions asked.

This is not a thread about homosexual marriages and I will not be pulled into a rant about what you think about that topic..my questions were simple and yet you can't say yes or no to them.

It implies that the answers are yes and that you are a hypocrite because you justify why men who don't met the requirements are allowed to be pastors.

Yet you don't have the courage to simply state your beliefs, because then you might realize the error in your thinking.

His will is His word. There can be no doubt as to that. His word is what we will be judged by and His word is what we must obey to reach heaven. His will is His word.
So when Satan spoke scriptures was he speaking Gods' will?

You will have no excuse on that day. It is written.

mene, mene, tekel, upharsin

We ARE NOT jews. We are gentiles. The words of Christ are the only ones we will be judged by. The new testament, Christ's words, are His instructions to us.
Again, you will have no excuse on that day. You have been warned. Your blood is on your hands.
There is so many spiritual strongholds warring against God's word in this that I am just going to give it to God.

1. You are not a prophet, and I am covered in the blood of Jesus. My life is in His hands.

2. We don't throw out the old testament and we are not judged by "the word of Jesus" as if the new testament can be converted into new laws to bind and chain people under. We are judge righteous because Jesus died on,the cross for the, propiatiton of our sins. The requirements have been nailed to the cross.

3. Jesus is the Bread if life, Manna from heaven..He is the Word and He is alive and speaks not only through the Bible but also through His Holy Spirit.

Lord, give them eyes to see through the lies the world would enslave them to and give us hearts to seek Your truth and wisdom. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

I can answer the questions.
People hold wide and diverse positions on divorce.
I also know people who were non-Christian who were divorced and now who are Christian who are walking better than they were non-Christian.
And I know one Christian who made good arguments for being a pastor after divorce from the Word and the information was probably over a page except I'm not sure where it is on my thumbdrive but I have a good idea. What I can say is despite the problems of the past, they are doing more for the gospel than people here are doing.

The Bible still says you are going to give an account to God:

Romans 14:12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

And God can ask you about your view on egalitarianism or anything He wants because He is God.

Matthew 12:36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

John 12:48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.

What were you saying? Please keep John 12:48 in your answer.

NET Bible
The LORD said to me, "What do you see, Amos?" I said, "Tin." The sovereign One then said, "Look, I am about to place tin among my people Israel. I will no longer overlook their sin.

Romans 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

And to all the people who have been saying nasty things to me, remember that God says:

2 Thessalonians 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

It is a righteous thing for God to recompense tribulation to those who trouble me.

Jamess 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

*Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. *For it is written:‘He shall give His angels charge over you,To keep you,’*and,‘In their hands they shall bear you up,Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” - Luke 4:9-11 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke4:9-11&version=NIV

That you are misusing scripture and implying that i reject Jesus and His words.

You are playing a shell game.

The topic is women pastors, not salvation.
It is about people who reject His words. For example:

Luke 10:16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

God takes it personally.

No one has said anything nasty to you Chuckt, need to listen to reality and not those voices that make you think you are a special prophet like Abraham and that your words equal scripture.

God is not your personal thug to,beat up people who, don't agree with you.

Yes that is Jesus talking..does not apply to you personally and your words or beliefs.

I can freely admit I have been wrong, but your words imply anyone disagreeing with you will be punished by God.

Please tell me,i have misread your post.

So you're saying you'd support a divorced man over a woman as a pastor? Thats quite a comment.

Women must have a covering. We had one single woman in a church years ago. She just started her own ministry. She prayed for people to be delivered from the devil. Noone asked her, this was apart from the church, she just did it herself.
The devil almost ate her, she had to stop it.

Is it about a rejection of God's Word (Christ), or is the issue about a proper interpretation of scripture?

I'm thankful for the female pastors who have touched my life.
