1 Kings 11:31-32

God says he is going to tear the kingdom from Solomon and give it to his servent. 10 tribes to his servent, and one will remain in Jerusalem for Solomon's descendants. So that is 11 tribes. Why does it not state 12 tribes? Is there any connection with that in Revelation where to tribe of Dan is not listed? Rev. 7:4-8.

Often Benjamin and Judah were considered as one tribe, so yes it might have some bearing on the variations of the names when counting the 12. In some cases Dan is listed but another is omitted.

Genesis 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

You may hear this in the pop culture, so it seems worth mentioning. Some claim the antichrist will be an apostate Jew from Dan, which extrapolates to Dan having some cursed, evil taint. But, if you look at the verses surrounding the verse above, just the prior verse, it states Dan is a legitimate tribe that judges Israel. So, this antichrist rumor seems nothing but speculation, people doing the usual Johnny-one-verse, out of context doctrines. I don't necessarily see in that verse anything more than the nature of a snake striking, don't see why it's necessarily Satan. Others point out Dan having been peculiarly guilty of idolatry, which makes more sense. Why Is the Tribe of Dan Not Mentioned in Revelation​

Jerusalem, which was the seat of the Judean kingdom, was in the territory of Benjamin; so they were inseparable.
