This is sort of dangerous don't you think? While what you say might be true about God receiving a little babies soul or whatever but I think you should ask yourself the value that God places on life. Humans use all kinds of excuses to murder people and that one is really no different. Just an excuse to make oneself feel better about sticking a fork in a precious little babies skull and killing it.

This... this is a tone of disagreement I can empathize with and respond to..Thank you, Sirk.
I understand that these are dangerous grounds to walk on. I don't believe abortion is right and I don't condone it. My point was that sometimes the death is better than the life it might have lived otherwise. My best friend was often violently raped and abused because her parents neglected her. Because of it, she closed her heart to God. Does this happen to everyone? Certainly not.... But what about those who do live and don't get good homes? What about those who are abused? Certainly not everyone is abused or neglected, certainly some find homes...but what about those who don't...
I'm just glad I'll never have to personally make that choice because I'm pro life.

you pay a premium every year or twice a year (like being taxed)
when you need an operation or some other major care, you can't afford all that. your health insurance pays for it. the amount may be way more than the sum of what you've paid in premiums -- so guess where the money comes from?
other people's premiums.
the only difference between the insurance system, and single-payer universal care, economically, is that with the insurance system, the insurance companies are out to make the biggest profit possible from you, and from everyone else. they fix the rates to a price point carefully calculated to make sure that everyone overpays by the largest amount they can get away with, before premiums are so high that people decide they are better off just not having insurance. so it costs more. in a big population, it costs A LOT more.
otherwise -- both systems are the same. if you need a $50,000 surgery and extended care, if you have insurance, it's other people's money that's paying for it.
now ask yourself, does that make health insurance equal to a godless communist dictatorship stealing your money and giving it to the lazy?
or have you been listening too much to pundit propaganda that blows this out of proportion, to make sure you vote in the R column?

I'm not evil. I'm not trying to eradicate entire races. But maybe you are barbaric and wicked if you want to support the suffering of others. My comparison to babies and pigs was not in an attempt to justify murdering babies.... You misunderstood me. I was just comparing their sentience. I'm not for the murder or death of ANYTHING, but I'm willing to admit when sometimes it's necessary or it's the best option.
But everyone deserves a shot at it don't they? What if just one of all those 50+ million babies that we have killed in the womb had a gift to bring to the world but it was snuffed out? I didn't like abortion before my son was born and when I held him in my arms for the first time it was forever seared in my brain at the responsibility I had to him to give him the best shot that I could. I was pondering the other day if there was a sacrifice I wouldn't make for him and I couldn't come up with one. I wish all parents and prospective parents could feel that.
No death or illness or suffering when He comes back.
