I see what you are saying John, thank you for making me think. The only thing I can say is they have been proven helpful. I see the quote I have as inspiration and has cheered me up. If they were inappropriate or hurtful symbols/words I would see a problem.
He cares about what's in your heart. It isn't what we put into our bodies (or on our bodies for that matter) that defiles us.
It's what comes out of our heart that defiles us.

This is another good scripture from Paul just for general considerations:

Titus 3:9 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Romans 7:6 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

Ok...this was definitely my last post about the law...lol

Amen and amen

So are you saying that what Paul said is more valid than what Jesus said?
Demi, please, please think about what you're doing.
We will be judged in the exact manner that WE have judged.
So if you judge others by the law of Moses, you will also be judged by the law of Moses.
And you don't keep it all.
Where does that leave you?

I will try, though I am not a teacher and someone like Grace777 would probably do it better.
He paid with His blood to set you free from bondage to death and the fear of death, to the bondage of the heavy burden of the law, which no one could keep anyway and bought your freedom so you could walk in the Spirit, in newness of life.

There is no law against the Spirit.
He said to see that no man yoked you again.

I believe if my tattoos are a sin because I shouldn't mark my body than ear piercings or any piercing is a sin too.

Best not to let them get you to worrying about it in the first place because there are over 600 laws in the law of Moses they are quoting to you and you know that even on earth, if you obey the littering laws BUT you break the speeding law, the fact that you kept the one law isn't going to be a defense for you breaking the speeding law. You have to keep all the laws or you are guilty.

Oh demi, thank you so much!
I was not going to be able to go to bed for worrying about you!
I did not see it was a question.
You have set an old lady's mind at ease!
Thank you for clearing it up.

I really don't believe so. Mine aren't crosses but they are appropriate. They are not hateful or harmful to anyone.

Thank you for putting it into perspective.
You're welcome!
And thank you for this conversation. It's an important conversation, as is any conversation that deals with people being yoked and put back into bondage under the law of Moses!

I really don't think so, I don't even think tattoos are sinful unless you actually use them to say sinful things (swear words, satan symbols/numbers) but this man describes it much better. http://youtu.be/rN3voADV14Y

It's ok to ask questions but there is a lot to the law/old covenant vs grace/new covenant. There is a massive difference and very important to know in order to grow strong in what the Lord has already done for us in His finished work.

I suggest if interested to go to the below link and check it out..each article at the bottom has comments where you and others can ask questions..

Bless you and have a great night!....:)

I really enjoyed listening to him! He's very high energy and God has given him such wisdom for a very young man! Thanks for sharing that.
