But hey, maybe I'm wrong about everything and you are right. Maybe we can all agree to think more deeply about all of these subjects and try and find the answers God wants us to find.
this is one of the things i love about you sis

I wasn't "nearsighted" to it. That could be entirely true, but I don't think it's plausible because there could be any number of more innocuous ways God could draw the husband and wife closer to each other. It doesn't have to happen as a result of something tragic. I think that is a twisted perspective on God. He doesn't relish in our suffering...
Who are you to determine how God chooses to do anything? And no...he suffered for us....on the cross......in the most horrendous way possible.....scientifically AND spiritually speaking.

the thing i find the most painful is seeing brothers and sisters clinging to the carcass of the GOP as if it's somehow a 'given' that a Christian is supposed to vote republican, even if it comes to backing someone as ludicrous (IMHO) as Trump. that's some kind of far-out dangerous level of deception going on! and it's very sad, but seems very prevalent too.

maybe, just like Sirk said, i should be glad for this too - separating out the tares; and those whose eyes are open from those who are blinded. in a way i do understand this as good - that all things should become transparent, and i'm thankful He gave me eyes to see some of it, dimly - but it's painful. i have so much sorrow in me, i can't express :(
it's not just politics, but politics is symptomatic of it
I can sorta understand that. Take comfort though the president is not a leader and the president is not as powerful as is portrayed. For that matter Trump may not even be president.

It matters not what you, me, or anyone else wants, God's will shall be done, praise Jesus.

I'm playing guitar for worship at a small/new church this weekend and we are doing this song. We have a stellar band and I can't wait to feel this young congregations hunger for Jesus tomorrow. Unity...in the name of Jesus is such a powerful force.

he just wants to do exactly the same thing that the government already does.
it's not a strawman at all.

did you go to elementary school, Mitspa?
who do you think paid for that? it was my parent's tax dollars, buddy.
if that equals "communism" then we're already a communist country. we have been since the first day federal taxes were collected.

and i don't know how many times people have to point it out to you -- electing Republicans for the last 50 years just because they said they were anti-abortion has not stopped abortions from being legal. it is NOT going to stop them from being legal in the next 4 or 8 years either, and Trump is pro-abortion, for goodness sake, so abortion as a reason to vote republican is ridiculous, ESPECIALLY for supporting Trump.
AMEN! Thank you soo much for helping me point that out! I've never heard another pro-life Christian say that. Thanks for posting :D

You are STILL not getting what I'm saying.... Oh well. Bernie Sanders is the most honest and righteous candidate and it's a shame he most likely wont win... I don't know if it's more evident of the world being wicked or the world being vacuous...

True, Sirky doesn't engage in such unless incessantly provoked.

(unless he is talking to me..............but ---- that's ok.......it's to me)

this "unelectable" guy has been doing better than Clinton in head-to-head polls against all the republicans for quite a while.
the other thing about those polls, is that Kasich is the only republican who comes out ahead of either Clinton or Sanders -- but nobody wants him?
does the GOP want to lose this election?

There won't be any death panels. lol
I like you Kim; you're kind and respectful, so the following is not an attack but rather a critique. You're either dangerously naive or you're in the tank for these tards. Make no mistake, death panels are a very clear and present danger. There's no denying it.

Now who's at risk? God-fearing, gun-toting patriots like me who demand accountability from our public servants, or milk-toast sheep who sing baaaaaaaahhhhhh with joyful glee as they walk along the plantation of tyranny consistently voting the masters back into office? (Rhetorical question)

i haven't read the first half of this thread. when i looked at it yesterday, some of the first posts i read where anti-Sirk, and they were really surprising to me. i
Sirk; even though we disagree about politics he's always been reasonable and level-headed about it with me, and even willing to re-evaluate his opinion about things -- completely unlike some other people.. he's an example to me that i should be just as gentle and open about my own opinions.

*shrug* if Sirk was being unkind in the first half of the thread, i don't want to see it.
