Hi all,

I recently joined the forum. I am not christian. Someone here told me only Christians will go to heaven. Why is that so? I believe Jews(not all) and Muslims also believe in heaven. Why only Christians will go to Paradise?
I think most people don’t understand what heaven is. I believe heaven is what our lives turn into when we repent of our sin. Here are two scriptures that evidence that:

[19] Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the LORD.
[20] This is the gate of the LORD;
the righteous shall enter through it. Psalm 118:19-20 RSV

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

Therefore, anybody can go to heaven. All they have to do is repent of their sin.

So the Mormon who repents will go to heaven? No.

It's logical that God created Adam and Eve, and they were perfect. Without sin, but with a mind of their own, and freewill, and they chose to disobey God. They had 1 rule, and they couldn't obey that rule. That resulted in sin entering the world, the perfect world was not perfect anymore. Death entered the world.

As the world aged, sin multiplied, for sin is like a virus, that consumes all it touches, not just people, but the world itself. Animals started fighting and killing each other, men started eating meat just as animals would eat meat, and sin multiplied.

As time went by, sin made people live shorter life spans, as we got further separation from God, veiled by sin, we lived a far number of years less. And we made more things in sin, to separate us from God.

God sent His Son, as a chance at redemption, to the perfect beings He had created. A chance to once again be made perfect. His Son willingly laid down His own life, for there was no man that could have killed Him, no country could have stood against Him, yet, He gave up his own life, and suffered and was humiliated, just to give us a chance to be made perfect again.

Blood is holy to God, and He knew that only through blood sacrifice could sin be separated from man. So He sent the perfect sacrifice, and to honor His Father, and because of His love for us, Jesus became that perfect sacrifice.

As a result of His sacrifice, God was true to His word, and resurrected His Son, and gave power to all people, to call upon His Son for their own salvation, and separation from sin.

If you accept that Jesus was God's ultimate redemption, and ask His blood to clean yourself, then God will never see your sin again, He will only see the blood of His perfect sacrifice, the blood of His Son.
Bingo.

We have a winner.

Without the ingredient of Adam, the second Adam makes no "sense"

I never lead someone to Jesus without the Adam dimension.

Religions have no remedy for Adam's fall and curse.

Muhammed, budda, and all the rest, have no remedy, and no living savior.

They all with out fail require "do"

Christianity requires faith in a living God,and no works for the new birth.

Christianity is a person.

That person says, DONE !!!

RELIGION ALWAYS EQUALS DO.
JESUS EQUALS...DONE

So awesome!!

None other comes close by a million miles.

Jesus is the genuine. The champion.

All others are cheap worthless fakes. So sad man is so duped.

Heavens requirement for admittance is perfection, righteous holiness.

A person can only get this from God Himself as a gift.

God has given the whole World the solution in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the One and Only Solution to being Righteous and Perfect before God.

Not what, who. Jesus Christ.

Christians all over the world today celebrate the resurrection from the dead of the Savior of the world. Because He lives, you can live as well. The wages of sin is death, BUT, the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. That is the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

"whoever believes will in Him have eternal life." John 3:15
YES !!!!

HE IS RRRRIIIISSEEEEEEEEEEENNNN!!!!

HE IS GOD!
HE IS LORD!
HE IS KING!
HE IS SAVIOR!
HE IS OUR SACRIFICIAL LAMB!
HE HAS CONQUERED DEATH!
HE DESTROYED THE LUST THAT ONCE RULED MY LIFE!
HE IS FREEEEEEEEDOM!
HE IS DELIVERANCE!
HE IS POWER!
HE IS HEALER!
HE IS THE CURSED FIERY SERPENT ON MOSES POLE!
HE IS MY PROVIDER!

I cannot convince anyone that Jesus is the son of the living God - I think only God himself can do that! Humble yourself before the Creator of the Universe and ask Him to reveal you the truth.

All religions contradict each other. Either they are all wrong, or one of them is right.

All other religions, with the exception of Christianity, teach you must do good works, in one way or another, to earn your salvation.

Yet, even on our best days, our good deeds are filthy rags to a holy God, because they are nothing but an attempt to influence the judge (God).

It's nothing less than bribery.

So, what can we do? If God is indeed holy and righteous, how can He allow even one sin to slip by? How can one make it to heaven?

By throwing yourself upon the mercy of the court and receiving a full, unearned, undeserved, pardon.

And that pardon only comes through the one who satisfied divine justice by paying our sin debt for us:

His name is Jesus Christ.

God said Life, enter into life, not heaven. Although life is a paradise, so you see why they say heaven. Now about who or what gets into heaven, the narrow path is the only way you can get into heaven. Now all I can say is that it's between 2 roads called the wide road, that leads to death. (It's 2 roads that lead to the same place) Thats why Jesus said the wide road. I can explain it more to you but it will sound backwards. Now you're going to have to start at genesis and read through the whole bible with what you now know.

Hopefully you'll work it out for yourself.

You really asked the wrong question. Why would a God of justice allow anyone to go to heaven?

Who gives eternal life? Muhammad, Abraham, Buddha? Christians believe that only God himself gives life, and Jesus being one with God is eternal life. Muhammad, Abraham, Confucius, are buried, the Buddha cremated, all are dead. None of them claimed to be God, they all died and remained dead. The grave did not hold Christ, and Christians belief that faith in him is the only route to salvation. Why? Because he said there was no other path to heaven, there is no remission of sin through anyone else.

And what is the answer?

The answer is an empty tomb. The answer is the 500 witnesses who saw Jesus die - and then he was alive again -complete with the holes in his hands, and the wound in his side.

Even Josephus and Tacitus talk about Jesus. They are contemporaneous historians - one Jewish, the other Muslim. They lived when Jesus lived, although they did not believe. So he is historically real, despite what some humanists and Muslims say.

Today is Resurrection Sunday! We celebrate the risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

If you are not a troll, then I suggest you read my thread: Happy Resurrection Sunday. I have all the Bible passages that talk about the amazing power of God and the resurrection. This power, the Jews denied. This power of the risen Saviour, the Muslims deny.

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/133477-happy-resurrection-sunday.html

It it not about good works, it is about believing in Jesus Christ, both God and man, who died on the cross for our sins. Any other religion is missing that essential truth of the gospel. Jesus died, and was raised to life.

The empty tomb - no other faith or religion has it - their leaders are all dead and long gone.

The empty tomb - the proof that Jesus is alive and rules and reigns forever!

Everyone has sinned and God is holy. Someone saw people who were not saved fleeing away from Him to hide their sins in darkness. He is Light. All your sins will be exposed. Sin can't be in His Presence. Only in this life when you call on Him to forgive your sins you accept Jesus' offer, you can get a new holy nature. He's the only One of all religions who took our sins on Him and did them away on the cross and gives us a new nature, so we can be in His Presence. Sin seperates from God.

Ian McCormack was an atheist who just before he died asked God to forgive his sins and forgave those who sinned against him, first he said: if there is a God please help me to pray, because he thought: there are thousands of different gods. Jesus answered and taught him the 'our Father'. Then he saw hell but because of the prayer went to heaven and saw Jesus. He came back to life later.

God having a son. My mind is not able to digest that. Why can't God just forgive our sins. Why did Jesus who was innocent be killed for our crimes. If God is just, he must punish us not any innocent !!

Why do want anyone to believe just like that. When i say um not Christian, I need logical answers because i believe God created logic.
Then why would God's Word not be logical to you? (Since you responded to His Word with your apparent need for "logic".)

Anyway, it's Resurrection Sunday. "For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will never die, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn it, but that the world might be saved through Him."- John 3:16--17.

One must believe. That's why there are no unbelievers (non-Christians) in Heaven.

God also requires faith. Believing without seeing, knowing or understanding.
Much of the bible can involve logic. But the very Concept of the biblical God's existence Defies logic. Using limited, man made logic doesn't always work to define something outside the realm of mankinds logic.
You have been given answers, you just dismiss them.
You say you don't believe things just because someone says they're true, but most of what you know you didn't study firsthand to see the proofs. You didn't witness history with your own eyes. You don't personally know every person in the public view, yet you still form ideas of what you believe is true about these people, in part because of what others say.
Truth is people believe all sorts of things blindly, just because they're told. And not only do they not scrutinize the truth of it, they spread it to others and even defend the point of view. It's only when it comes to God, and not Wanting to believe, do people suddenly require proof. It's rather hypocritical to live your life blindly accepting things you're told but then demand proof when it comes to God. That's not living consistently.
I believe you too did not live at the time of Jesus to witness what happened. !!

There is no doubt God exists, there is logic behind that as there can't be a perfect system without someone making that system, even mathematics makes u think there must be someone who set the laws of physics, chemistry or biology or astronomy !!

Only question that remains for me to find is which religion actually is true. That's why i am here to understand what you guys think makes it right religion. There are other religions too. So i am just studying all of em :)
