Can someone please let me know about a good book to read that can calm my nerves and my heart. One that will help me find peace in my heart. I have many problems and need help. I started reading Jesus Calling. But about half way through i got uncomfortable with it. But i think there may be one out there that could help me. So someone please tell me about a good one that has God as the center of it. Thanks.
 
Man, "Jesus Calling" is one of the most reassuring books I have read. I wouldn't know what else to say.
 
I know what your saying Willie, I felt the same way at first. Then something came over me one night and i started feeling something was trying to warn me about it. I got very concerned and was wondering if i was being fooled. A strong feeling came over me. I think you may find some comments about it on the internet that will make you look into it. It worries me. So iam looking for a good book that i can be comfortable with. Thanks brother, and i hope you will be alright.

NP. I won't take it as anything out of sorts if you would be willing to point me in the direction of some of the negative things you found.

People post negative things about most everything I like. I'm used to it.
 
Something that bothered me about it was that it doesnt seem to direct you to God the father. You start to get the feeling that you are to think of the Jesus in this book as the center of everything . And that this Jesus is even more important than God the father. And that really started to make me worry . I might be wrong ,cause iam not the smartest person around, but what if something is trying to warn me? Its a real delemia. Should i just believe and take it in faith? Or am i being fooled? I doint want to make a mistake . Until this happend i loved the book. It made me feel good when i was battling anxiety . I felt better and my life started getting better. So you can see how much this is hurting me. Iam now just keeping an open mind about it and looking for another book i can feel good about. I really need something for these bouts with anxiety that i get. Take care brother. Martin
