You aren't getting my point I don't think. But it's okay. I don't agree that I do not ask God because I do ask Him often, to forgive me for something I have done that is not of faith and is not abiding.
That's because tithing was commanded in the law of Moses. The lord's prayer was not taught by Moses, but was taught by Jesus himself. IT is a new covenant teaching.

I have no problem agreeing with this video below about 1 John 1:9. We have forgiveness in Jesus!

What do you want to know? If Farley teaches that the lord's prayer is only an old covenant prayer? Do you not know how to use Google? Prince teaches the same. Rufus teaches the same. Ellis (in veiled language) teaches the same.

No, I'm saying could you post the video you watched that you referenced with the quote by the man so we can watch it for ourselves. It's good to listen actually than to go on one man's assertion of what he said.

hey, guys? it's 'stupid question time with ellie'

why wouldn't we pray in the manner in which the Lord Jesus taught us? is this really an issue?

as i've said before (and forgive my repeating it) i like to keep short accounts with God.
so when i become aware i've offended Him (disobeyed!) i like to confess it and He reminds me i'm forgiven.

what's not to like? :)

It's always good to present all what is written...this is especially helpful with scriptures too..here is the rest of what was said..

To some people "salvation" means just going to heaven which we will go when we die and leave this body. However the word salvation means a lot of different things...."make well"." preservation"..."wholeness" "rescue"....................................

In the new testament salvation means only one thing. What you mean is it means different things to people who twist words and meanings. Which you, apparently, are one of.
Salvation is used 43 times in the new testament and all 43 of them are either 4991 or 4992 in Strong's greek.
4991. soteria so-tay-ree'-ah feminine of a derivative of 4990 as (properly, abstract) noun; rescue or safety (physically or morally):--deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.

4992. soterion so-tay'-ree-on neuter of the same as 4991 as (properly, concretely) noun; defender or (by implication) defence:--salvation.
I stand by my post, which is scripture based. Your posts appear to be prince based. Or some other man.
If you would quit leaning on men to teach you the word, and let God do it thru His word as scripture instructs us to, you'd be much better off.
However, should you choose to keep turning to false teachers you'll also be better off if you stop responding to my posts.

For instance, Jesus said a man should have tithed dill and cumin but should not have left off the WEIGHTIER things like mercy. He said this before He died. The OC was still in effect. I Do not now take a tenth of my tomatoes I grow to priests in a temple. Though the squirrels and deer get way more than a tenth haha!

OK .. why not get back to the OP ... :)

I have an open backyard garden myself, no fences ... and as you mention, the squirrels, rabbits, skunks etc partake of it's bounty, but also some neighbors - children - but also the occasional adult sneaks in and helps themselves. I thought at first to step out on my balcony and shame them ... but the Lord in me reminded me of a few scriptures. My love and appreciation for those commands stopped me ... .... .... now I just let whomever wants to take from it to take - even with a smile. That is God's righteousness and love at work in me. It's certainly not the spirit of the world at work. My new righteousness comes from Him - it is in fact His righteousness that works through me ... I confess it and am grateful to Him for it. :)

Even though I know I am always forgiven I still repent when I mess up, a repentant heart is a state of being not a person who repents every time they screw up and this is how one comes to understand grace because a repentant heart is one that God gives understanding to but asking for forgiveness when we sin is also a sign of humility and I doubt God has an issue with us repenting

Go back and actually read the linked-to posts, and everything will become apparent. There was no video. I quoted quotes from Farley's book. If you want further context, search for it. It's out there.

On the subject of forgiveness that we have in Christ now after He died and was risen and because of His precious Blood...here is what the scriptures say..

1 John 2:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake.

have been forgiven = perfect passive

perfect =
The perfect tense expresses perfective action. Perfective action involves a present state which has resulted from a past action. The present state is a continuing state; the past action is a completed action. It is continuously in the present happening to us.

passive = voice = action is happening to you....you are not doing it

Without a doubt this verse says that the sins are forgiven from a past action that remains in a continuous completed state and that was put on them....not something they did to obtain it.

Ephesians 1:7 (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

We have redemption = present continuous action...so this means we have present continuous forgiveness of our sins...

and look...that grace stuff shows up again!...it's all according tothe riches of our loving Father's grace that He has given to us in Christ our Lord.

Colossians 1:13-14 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Same thing here too...present continuous action = forgiveness of sins

Redemption!..we have been bought with the precious Blood of Jesus... Let's honor His work

Brethren ...we have a great salvation in our Lord!

right? :)

(i'm pretty sure i sin a whole lotta times when i don't even realize it  )

Walking with Jesus. In the gospels how often is the word perfect used.
Twice. Love your enemy as God does. Be perfect like Him.
Walk blamelessly as to the law, follow Christ and give up wealth and you will be perfect.

And that is it. Yet strangely people feel to follow Christ is about perfection. According to Jesus perfection is loving your enemy, following Christ and not money. It is having love in your heart, and walking in this with others.

How is this legalism, or wrong or evil? It starts with what is in your heart, and as many have said, if love and looking to Christ are there, everything is fine. As your heart changes, as honesty and integrity become right so it shows in how you react and the things you do. What I hear is we should just expect sin, rather than sin is the exception.

Anyone crying for me to understand Christs love or acceptance, is like getting upset that I do not know the Lord.
The only thing that strikes me is you believe I have an unclean heart, and racked with sin and problems, but just deny it.

What stuns me so many times that things look totally gloom and wrong, yet when I trust the Lord it just sorts out.
So I stop worrying and just trust. He always provides, and I work hard doing that which is just before me.

What I have learnt is sin takes us and justifies our hurt and failure, while the Lord brings us love and acceptance, and just letting go, forgiving and walking in humbleness with the Lord sets us free. Once you see what drives the world, it does not matter because the Lord has set us free. How far have you gone trusting the Lord, how much is on the line, has love proved its way in your heart? The Lords love has changed me and all I do, its that simple. I walk in His grave everyday.

Big frowny face.

Notice how everything points back to the blood of Jesus? Amen!

It's an issue with false-grace believers because it says to pray for forgiveness and they believe that there is no need to pray for forgiveness. Some go so far to say that doing so is unbelief and a slap to GOD's face. Seriously. That's why they have to get rid of the prayer.
