What does God say when your dreams feel crushed?
When your ideas seem stupid to people you need help from?
Is there any comfort?
Am I even right?
Are any of my dreams and ideas really for me?
How can I know what God wants from me, before I blow a bunch of money on another idea or dream that isn't for me to do?
 
sometimes He wants us to make great effort in seeking His face, some times He waits until we are truly willing to surrender all to him in trust, when things go wrong, all we see is what is right in front of us... He sees all the way to the end, and many times He orders circumstances in our lives to lead us exactly where we need to be, the question you should be asking yourself is: do I want His will for my life or mine? .... once you know the true answer to that question the rest is relatively simple.

Shrimp got a deal for ya....let me hang on to your money...change your prayer to God convincing me to give it back, and if he does then you know he is in favor of your dream.:cool:

A relationship

Which is to learn about each other, then you'll learn about him.

On the plus side you can keep going the way you're going. (My daughter wrote that, that wasn't from me)
 
Knowing the will of God is such a large subject.
I actually don't have any answers. I would pray to God and inquire of the Lord.

In all seriousness, when I desire to know God's will and I ask to know, I don't seem to get any response. I've checked my heart, asked forgiveness for sins, was still and listened, I've read and studied and meditated and worshiped my heart out and... nothing.
I just don't know what to do. I feel disconnected and I don't know why.

about what?
When I studied and wanted to quit someone gave a prophetic Word that I should do what I was busy with doing and not quit and God would use it in a ministry from His heart. I've seen all my collegues saved in a dream.
When I was ready with the study I couldn't find work and I asked God and the preacher said: do what your hand finds to fo. So I did stupid catering work and kept applying for jobs and within a month they called me there that they had something, because someone said to me: Why don't you just ask and believe?
He leads us in peace. If there is no peace it's not His will.
 
Shrimp be faithful in the things you know are from God.
Being faithful in the little things God will give you bigger things.
It all about his will to be done not ours...he might just be saving you from another heart ache.
Then again he might be preparing you for something bigger than you can imagine.
 
I would suggest reading the book of Psalms...where David's dreams, ambitions, and daily little torments were honestly written down and expressed to God...very much like you've posted here. There is always comfort in GOD'S Word....just thought I'd pass that little bit of information to you...seems like the wind has been taken out of your sails.

The universe spins around God. The Bible is about God. Our purpose is God.

When your dreams and ideas start revolving around God things work out better.

You also use the word "I" a lot.
 
I agree, just seek Him for who He is, draw close to Him. It's hard I know when your dreams are crushed. I've been there a few times and am there right now. I have no idea what direction to go and haven't for years. In the times we live in we need to give everything to Him, even giving up on what we want.
