This subject has been discussed here often and loudly. It always ends in bitter disagreement. Many in the US do not agree with it. I could really care less what the vatican condones, I disagree with them on many levels. But there are many threads on this subject. According to the Bible its wrong,that settles it for me.

Had many discussions about it on a Dutch christian forum with Dutch practising christian homosexuals. If they're not believers and don't ask better not mention it. With those who wanted a discussion to show others that it was totally okay I just stayed friendly and didn't treat it different than heterosexual sexual sin. It's just idolatry. If I marry a guy who doesn't believe in God or doesn't want to stop watching porn it's the same thing. I make him into an idol instead of worshipping God. They just didn't understand why God would have a problem with it. I said: He's just jealous. He wants to marry you.
Then they understood it even less I'm afraid. There was one guy who testified that God set him free and they did respect him. Non christian gays don't understand it at all. First just don't mention it and show them real Love since that's what they want anyway.
What I once said to an atheist who said christians like me were gay hating biggots:
If it's not possible for them to change it would be unfair from God to ask it.

Richard1976......Sadly, the world does not want to adhere to what the BIBLE says about same sex marriages or homosexuality. We can preach it, condemn it, expose the ugliness of it...and the world still embraces it. Satan dances with joy during the 'coming out" parades and frolic associated with the freedom of expression. People are labelled 'homophobics' if they speak against it. Rainbow flags are freely displayed as bumper stickers. It is edged into most all TV sitcoms, commercials, movies, and music. Adoption agencies allow a child to be given over to same sex partners. I remember when Pompeiian murals discovered in the bathhouses of same sex intercourse 'shocked" the world. Now, it is the NORM and seen as being politically correct by today's standards. I heard a commentary a few years ago: "IF GOD does not end the world soon, HE owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology".

It's just time for the church to rise and be revived and show His power. If some christians don't even believe they can stop doing a sin or smoke or watch porn, why on earth would they believe God can give them a new nature?

There was a revival in the sixties with the hippies and the sexual revolution. Now we have the homosexual revolution. Time for a new move of God.

Not this earth. There is revival starting in other countries, even in the State church of China I heard.

It is hard to comprehend the depths of depravity that sodomites descend to because of their lust for perversion. God says they are an abomination to Him.

I know the Bible says homosexuality is wrong but the Bible also says lots of other things are wrong. I feel like people spend a disproportionate amount of time obsessing over this one sin. I will be kind to them and pray for them. Maybe they will change or maybe they will not. . That's between them and God

Your statement was fine until the word "but". People are in bondage and are being deceived by satan,they need to know the truth before it is too late. As a Christian our only concern should be leading people out of darkness to the light.
