No i m an agnostic who would like to respectfully ask what make you sure you are right about god
What I learned about God this Sunday in Church was God's love demonstrated in Hardship and the chapter was Genesis 35.
"Often, when making a decision that may lead to hardship, there is the temptation to assume that God is angry and therefore causes the hardship as punishment. Thankfully, God's love is not connected to shifting emotions, but to his infinite, unchanging perfections. Unfortunately, our definition of God's love has been so corrupted by the world that it often leave us crushed or at best, bewildered. Too many believers are under the delusion that God's love means we get everything we want, without pain, suffering, or hardship."
The explanation of God's love is 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 which is to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.
2 Corinthians 1:8 ¶ For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
2 Corinthians 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves,
that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
The other explanation is God will deliver us. Vs 11 Pray.
2 Corinthians 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
2 Corinthians 1:11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
The Biblical model relates to Jacob's family and the whole human race because He is immanent and transcendent.
