Fake Forum

You know there's a thing called free will, right? Free will gives us the ability to respond or not respond to someone's posts. As for you, you should have made the conscious choice to bypass P's post, instead of writing a snarky, insulting reply back to him. Sometimes you just gotta know when to respond and when to keep quiet. Sadly many here don't know when to keep quiet and just let it go, instead they write a rude, snarky and condescending reply.

So your way of showing me that I was 'rude, snarky, and condescending' when replying to p_rehbein is to be 'rude, snarky, and condescending' to me? Duly noted.

I think what the elephant (love you) meant was what I also thought: it's quite an accusation to call this a fake forum, but I think you didn't mean it, otherwise you shouldn't have returned.
I did that once with another forum because I believed and a lot of others that it was really fake. The owner and moderators were exchristians stirring fights with socks that were allowed there, trolling the christians and banning them when they gave great testimonies and did absolutely nothing wrong.

How am I being rude, snarky or condescending by trying to show you the error of your ways? I only speak the truth. If you can't handle being criticized without lashing back, that's your prob, not mine. And I've noticed you DO lash out quite a bit on here, when you're disagreed with. Accept the constructive criticism I gave, and move on.

Thanks coby2--I'm pretty sure that was p_rehbein's concern as well. That's a really awful experience you had on that other forum--I am glad that the admins here are not that way at all!

CC is not fake; I was expressing (poorly) a frustration.

I wasn't slinging insults. I made an assessment based on age, content of his post, and his complete disregard for the reconciliation which occurred. Is the man 65? I don't know--but that's the age HE gave to this website to be displayed by his username. Is it insulting that I assume that older people are more likely (than younger people) to omit refreshing a thread prior to posting their reply? Even more importantly, did this man feel insulted by my words? My intent was not to insult, but to shed light on the fact that he was behind in the conversation.

I'm not sure what to conclude from your words here, Blue. Constructive criticism is usually friendly and involves both positive and negative--it's supposed to improve the outcome. Assuming is bad. Asking for clarification is better. I think I need to teach a communication class. No one would come tho. lol

Two things I have noticed here. 1. It's extremely cliquish and 2. If you aren't ultra super conservative, you won't fit in well here.....oh a 3rd one...the cherry pickers who love to rebuke you for interpretating scripture differently than they do.

Yes the problem WAS resolved. THEN you added to it by insulting P. His age has nothing to do with what he wrote, nor does his computer skills. I'm not known for always being nice on here. Sometimes harsh words are more effective than glossed-over ones are.. I'm glad to see that you realize you could have worded your reply to him better, though. Did you stop to think maybe he simply didn't see your reply? So yes, it IS insulting to insinuate that older people might forget to hit the refresh button, or even simply just miss seeing a post. I'm sure YOU have missed seeing a post or two in your time here, yet did anyone say "oh it's because you're 32, so you must not have adequate computer skills"? I didn't think so. Age had nothing to do with what his response was. In answer to your question, I DO "woman up" on here, but at least I can receive constructive criticism. That's something you SEEM to not like to do.

Justin can correct me but I think he feels misunderstood and being misunderstood is painful. When we experience pain we often become angry and instead of addressing the pain we feel we act out of anger. The path to peace is processing the pain. Being open and vulnerable and honest about the underlying pain we feel from disconnection. Anger begets more pain and unprocessed pain begets more anger.

I took counselling courses about oh...15 years or so ago....it was determined I was an excellent communicator

the goal should be for the person to express themself properly by actually being in touch with their own thoughts and feelings and low and behold, most folks cannot do that

some people here just run roughshod over every post with chains rattling behind them...the chains are the prison they are in them self and they are desperate to wrap them around anyone they can

should we make it a pre-requiste that all future members must take and pass a course on proper communication while we ferret out the loosers we have now? (note...loosers is said slightly tongue in cheek....some folks are just rude)

I always ask for clarification but I find that is rarely extended...people come on like gang busters with insults and names and throw Bible verses like grenades...

it is never going to change except on a personal basis and most people seem to think it's the other person

sometimes it is the other person...but when 20 people are telling you that it is you, well, maybe you should listen (generic you)

When you left here as PW, you DID talk about this forum being fake. Go back to post 1 and read your own words. :/ And when you left as WW, you said you were tired of all the fights and arguments here..
