It's too idiotic for me. Half of the time I wasn't laughing at all, because the "jokes" were so lame...classmates ask me if I watch it too which I respond no I don't waste my time with stupid tv like that.... :)

Oh about Obamacare yea take your time :) I look forward to your opinion on it...another show that was overrated back in the day was LOST it took way too long to develop and the backflashing scenes got old and left some viewers confused....just a bunch of crazy plane crash people running in the woods on an island...there is my Lost "synopsis"...I watched the complete 1st season and then half of the second and was like screw this...it's a giant waste of time I'm watching something else...

*squirts Roh with homemade coconut oil blaster gun*

Settle down there, cowboy. :p

I don't know about over there, but over here coconut oil is advised for use as a hair conditioner, skin moisturizer, for "oil pulling", a SUNSCREEN, diaper ointment, homemade deodorant, mouth wash, and a million other things. It is said to stimulate hair growth and get rid of cellulite. It claims to heal ear infections and treat arthritis. Did you accidentally saw off your arm while pruning your crepe myrtle trees? Just rub some coconut oil on there. It'll be fine.
Sorry Grace, but your argument is moot. Coconut oil is awesome. Period. If you don't do coconut oil, we cannot be friends anymore and we cannot even have a conversation on CC. Also, I will be removing you from my friends list.

Yeah, it is THAT serious.

Now, say that you are sorry for viciously attacking me with the gun, hand me a chocolate cookie and we will pretend like this never happened.

You should be. The reason people use coconut oil in everything is BECAUSE IT IS GOOD IN EVERYTHING.
You couldn't be more right. Except that too much of coconut oil on one's hair will make them look like an Iraqi oil field. And nobody wants to look as oily as an Iraqi oil field because Donald Trump would come for the oil..

I'm just kidding, people. I don't care about your elephants and your donkeys.

Overrated:
1. zombies & hipsters (same difference)
2. every single reality T.V. show ever broadcasted
3. fitness infomercials
4. soy latte
5. soy in general
6. metrosexual fashion trends
7. those fake long curly hair extensions that every single female news anchor & show host is wearing now

Underrated:
1. vinegar (there are about a gazillion uses for it - check it out sometime!)
2. early to bed, early to rise (really is a wise thing)
3. sunshine in your face (main source of vitamin D, helps heal depression)
4. forgiveness (I thought I'd just through that in there as you can never forgive too much) :)

Dory from "Finding Nemo" is annoying and overrated. It's not really her voice, it's the constant talking and stupidly.

Also, Bernie Sanders...lol.

Hey y'all! I was in class today and I was thinking about what makes us who we are. What are our likes and dislikes. I felt that the most important ones are those we think are overrated and those that are underrated. For example...most people like chocolate. But if someone told you he didn't like chocolate, it helps knowing that they're different in that way. Maybe he's allergic...or prefers to stay away from sweets altogether?

Our likes and dislikes are not equal to our personality obviously...but they help built it and bring it together.

So I thought it would be fun to create a thread where we could list and maybe discuss some of the things we think are overrated or underrated. And if you want to explain why, go ahead.

I'll go first.

Overrated

Mexican food - I'm Mexican, but I hate it! I don't like the smell and it looks really weird to me lol. I'm a very picky eater.

Superhero movies - So I grew up somewhat poor. I hardly ever went to the movies only when my uncle Rich would take me and my brother. My uncle Rich is a nerd (I mean that in a good way) and loves Superheroes. So of course that's all we would ever watch. Sometimes I just wanted to watch a Disney Princess movie, not another Spiderman one. So this is why I don't really care for any Superhero films and still watch Beauty and the Beast as a woman in my 20s. BTW I love my uncle Rich very much and I do appreciate him taking us either way. I have good memories. I guess it was mostly because I didn't understand these movies as a child. And I do like Spiderman right now...just don't LOVE it. Know what I mean?

High School - HS was bloody awful for me and I'm glad it's over. I've noticed American movies tend to overrate it and paint it as the best years of someone's life..."as if!"

3D - I don't like watching anything in 3D...it hurts my eyes.

Twerking - When I see it I'm all like "what is this, I don't even!?!?"

Tattoos - I don't like them.

Alcohol - I tasted it once...it was gross!

Underrated

Classical Music - In my generation many people don't even know who Bach is.

The original purpose of college - I think nowadays college is viewed as an experience, a time to explore, leave the nest, drink, party and do stupid stuff. Back in my grandmother's time it was viewed as an opportunity to better one's self and to learn things only those that are educated would know. Most college grads now don't know much more than they did when they first started. A lot of this has to do with the students themselves but mostly the way they are being taught. If you're interested in learning more about this check out Declining By Degrees: Higher Education at Risk on youtube.

Jesus - Most underrated person of all time!

Pale skin and dark hair - Tan skin and blond hair have always been the biggest hype for women and as a teen I was always trying to tan unsuccessfully and dye my hair lighter. Now that I'm older, I actually like my skin and hair the way they are. This is the way God wanted me to look and that's how I'm going to be. I like the sharp contrast between them. Once I start getting white hairs though, I'll probably get highlights again lol.

The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit - They are love, patience, goodness, gentleness, kindness, self-control, joy, faithfulness, and peace. I think Christians should talk more about them. Are you bearing these fruits?

WalMart - I really like that store. I buy my groceries there and sometimes find other things for low prices. I think people who say they shop at Target are really WalMart shoppers in secret. :p I do like Target but I know WalMart is more affordable.

Doing math problems/learning math - A few years ago I was placed in remedial math at my school. I was told that I needed two years of high school math before I could enter a college level math course. Plus it was going to cost me the same as college classes! I told them "no way" and I found some low priced books and taught myself all the math I needed. Now I'm taking Calculus, a college level class. It was really thrilling and fun to learn all this on my own because I didn't think I had it in me...but I did! That's one of the greatest feelings in life. Doing something you didn't think you were capable of doing.

Well I think that's it for now. Sorry it turned out to be so long! Please don't feel bad if you like one of the things I overrated. These are just my opinions and every one of us is different.
Before I start I have to say Mexican food overrated? Whattt? You know what I think is over rated big time is rap music boasting about selling drugs. If someone thinks they are cool selling drugs to people for years and years as they all hit rock bottom in their lives and there mothers cry at night I'm telling you they need a heart seriously. I'm from Houston so I should know. You know what else is over rated people saying stuff like the trading gods or the picking gods new flash those " trading gods" hate your guts and only want to conquer you. Hang on I have to go right now I'll think of more later and repost.

You know what the most overrated thing is? Here it is 2000 years after Christ walked the earth and professing Christians even on CC consider you an Antichrist when you tell them that we Christians are to live by the New Testament alone. That is overrated.

- I disagree with math being underrated, I think it is highly overrated.
All the people I know who know "higher mathematics" act as if they look down on people who don't, and brag about maths being all abstracts and not about the stuff I conciser math

Overrated:
- Any new trend, especially when it comes to diets
- Higher education: It doesn't give you any advantage anyway
- Ability to "multitask" and handle stress: Research tells us it is impossible , yet all employers use multitasking as a demand/ make it sound as if that and "a high pace" is a good thing....

Underrated:
- Spending time alone doing nothing
- Learning something that you are totally unlikely to ever NEED to know, but that you enjoy learning anyway
how is four times zero zero? What happened to the four? Three sailors rent a hotel room and the clerk charges them thirty dollars which is ten dollars a piece. Later on the clerk feels like he charged them too much so he calls for the bell boy and gives him five dollars to take to the sailors room to pay them back. The bell boy says ok and on his way he realises that they didn't tip him so he decides to keep two dollars for himself. He gets to the room and gives the sailors three dollars. So instead of ten dollars a piece they only paid nine dollars a piece. Nine times three is twenty seven the bell boy kept two dollars so 27 + 2 =29 what happened to the other dollar?

Okay here we go *cracks knuckles*........

Overrated:

Disney Cartoons/Movies
Watching the news
Coke
Cats and Cat videos
Anime

Under-rated/often misinterpreted:

Staying in
Reading
Colouring in books
Hanging out with children
Camping (literally in the bush/forest)
Holding a conversation (in person)
Puns
Massages
Smiling
Laughing
A sense of humor
Friendship
Tattoos (careful with this one. It represents - wait better yet it is - a mindset the person either once had or still holds).
Skateboarding
Bands that don't classify themselves as "a Christian band" but are Christians themselves. What makes a band "Christian"? some sort of heavenly chord formation?
That "gut" feeling
Wearing socks and Jandals (flip-flops)
Bum pants
Manual Cars (stick)

At the end of the day this is an opinionated post. People will like and dislike whatever they choose. Freedom of choice.... *flies away*

I dont want to sound like I'm judging with that in mind scripture does say have nothing to the works of darkness but rather expose them.
Over rated when professors who don't believe are interviewed about Jesus and say that poor people are attracted to Him. Your not really sipping lattes all day on your own private island on a professors salary. Even with tenure. Just sayin
Over rated all these things that Isis is claiming is doing to Christians. I've been under God' s wrath before and I have read enough scripture that I'm not buying into it.
Overrated what about people secretly trying to pass laws where people can go into restrooms of the opposite sex even with children in them. I have one word because I have heard them called perps before by professional law inforcement.
Under rated praying for our enemies

Veganism is overrated. I forgot to add that. I tried it for a day and all I had was oreos and a salad. I gave up the next morning when my mom made bacon and eggs! :p
maybe so but that veggie burger from Burger King
is on fleek!
