So what the OP is really saying is that we should hate people for sinning and be more judgmental of them. Because that is what God wants. Got it.
So you are pro-adultry...and fornication. ...good to know
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! (Psalm 37:7 ESV)
I think Jesus said, "Whoever among you who is without sin, cast the first stone." I don't recall Him saying "Whoever has never done this particular thing, cast the first stone."
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. (Don't forget where you belong).
I don't get the logic of your post..or what point you think your making?
It's fairly obvious to me, what he is saying. Look upon Jesus' wonderful face means concentrate more on him than you do on someone else's (or your own) sin. The things of this world will grow strangely dim means that everything in this world, pales in comparison to Jesus. We should be more focused on Jesus, and not things of this world..
Yes, and many people now days have blood dripping off their hands because they are unwilling to stand up for the word of God and tell people the truth.
And a lot can only stand with a sign: you're an abomination! and don't get them in.
Or they can stand up with a sign that reads:
Romans 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
would people please stop using 'don't' when they should be using 'doesn't'?
call me the language police...I'm good with it....![]()
Did I say we should promote (more) sin? No I did not. And we shouldn't promote sin of any kind, or tolerate sin of any kind.. There is not one person alive who is NOT living in some type of sin.. That's why we can't really judge each other. There's a difference between judging someone for their sin, and speaking out against it.
Or they can stand up with a sign that reads:
Romans 1
18...
That's impossible to read on a sign, better put it on a huge flag or something.

Yeah, wouldn't it be better to hold a sign that said: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
My Bible says: Go make disciples -- not go condemn the unrighteous.

Using the Word of God is not me condemning the unrighteous. Neither did I say that the only thing we should be doing is holding up Rom 1 on a sign. Look at the OP. This thread is about condoning or not condoning sin.

The past, the present, and the future walked into a bar. It was tense.
