Well I think its fair to have some debate about what some call holiness... but I don't think anyone could doubt the scriptures of keeping the body (temple of God) from fornication ... I cant understand why folks who claim they believe the bible would be so upset with this issue being discussed in a honest way?
In case you havent noticed there are 2 groups of people here.
1: If you lsee a person, live witht hem or just stand 100 miles away from them you already lost your virginity, comitted fornecation and need cleansing and dont forget that a kiss will make you sneeze out babies
2. they dont give a dime abour forication because got forgives all

Yep the devil loves the extremes and then pit them against each other to confuse every issue.

It's not self-righteous to try to follow God's Word.

I can't recall who, but someone here on CC has in their signature: "[there is] Nothing new under the sun." -- This rings true with this entire argument.

Keep contending for the faith, brother--even if some do think you're a bit coarse or insensitive.

In our church the truth is told and if people really want to live in sin they leave and don't like the preaching, but it's not preached in a condemning way. He always says he was addicted to porn himself and he was in fornication and how bad he was when he wasn't saved and a baby christian. He warns the naive women in church about men like he was. He's been there himself and God got him out with grace. Gays or drug or porn addicts or christians that fell back in fornication are not accused when they come. He helps them get rid of it. When I wanted to date a guy who wanted to live together he said: Do you want to risk your salvation?

well ....the topic here on this thread is those manner of sins and in my view how they are being promoted in the church even on this forum ..as has also been pointed out, the New Testament epistles does make sexual sins a special class of sins..even a denial of holiness unto the temple of God....my point being ...it seems some have not read the many warnings about defiling the temple of God...
Several times now I have seen this accusation leveled, yet I haven't seen a single person, who isn't an obvious troll, or who hasn't been banned, EVER say, promote, encourage, or dismiss, that committing sin, be it homosexuality or any other sin is ok.

This is clearly a FALSE accusation against the Brethren.

The reason I post here is because such sin is not condoned. If you want a forum with a gay agenda and promotion of premarital sex, living together, homosexuality and other disgusting stuff go to a Dutch 'christian' one. I'm a bigot there lol and when a guy with gay feelings asked for help I pm'd him, because otherwise you had a discussion about how it was totally normal and he needed to accept it, while he asked himself how he could get rid of it.

We once had a guy who wrotea letter if he could come to our church with his girlfriend, because the marriage was so expensive, so they lived together for a while and that church they now attended was so condemning. Can we come to your one?

So why all the uproar and all the accusations of hate for bringing up these issues...and it never fails when even a troll starts one of the gay agenda threads ..we have many members attack anyone that tries to present a real biblical position they are attacked....you can see this how ever you like...I see it in truth. And I aim to rebuke what I see needs to be rebuked...you don't like it? Too bad ..

Kinda the response I expected. It's not the plank in the eye that's the problem, it's the mountainous chip on the shoulder that is. I know, I know, "you don't like it GET LOST" Got that.

Since I guess you begrudgingly agree that regulars aren't promoting sin, the question comes down to how to reach the unsaved.

Many here believe we should present the Gospel, pray they accept it, THEN let the HOLY SPIRIT work in them to reveal sins they need to abandon.

You believe it's your job to reveal THEIR sin to them.

Don't think we're ever gonna see eye to eye on those approaches, but NO ONE is promoting sin. THAT is a false accusation.

I'd also have to answer for my treason against God if I went around promoting or condoning homosexuality, fornication or adultery.

Did Adam & Eve have a formal ceremony inside a building, and seek the approval or witness of others?

What about when Rebekah went in to Isaac's tent and they became husband and wife by having sex?

What about all God's children who had countless girlfriends who they weren't married to, and even Abraham having sent away all his children from women he never married?

What if that person you shunned co-inhabited with a woman he will be married to (read: registered on paper via the laws of men) and did not have sex with her at all, until a ceremony because they sought to please men by abiding in the laws of men, and not God?

If we are going to make marriage strictly a religious thing as opposed to a legal contract then by that same logic shouldn't we ban atheists from getting married?

Atheists that arent gay are not comitting a abomination unto God by getting married.
