It kind of seems few people on here do as I do in looking at things.

I like to break things down into identifiable smaller units, and work from the basics, upward. Most people seem to like to lump everything into one final statement, and make conclusions from there.

For instance, to get it as simple as we can..... Should a person be condemned by us for finding the same sex attractive? NOTHING ELSE! Just start with ONLY one thing at a time, and answer THAT question before moving on to the next simple query... and then the next... and then another question, etc.

Well, should they be?

Atheists that arent gay are not comitting a abomination unto God by getting married.
No in fact it is an agreement with God's order..even if they don't understand it that way.

Condemmed no. but we can tell em its wrong and try to help them (if they wish) and keep them in our prayers.
Did I pass the test?

Kinda the response I expected. It's not the plank in the eye that's the problem, it's the mountainous chip on the shoulder that is. I know, I know, "you don't like it GET LOST" Got that.

Since I guess you begrudgingly agree that regulars aren't promoting sin, the question comes down to how to reach the unsaved.

Many here believe we should present the Gospel, pray they accept it, THEN let the HOLY SPIRIT work in them to reveal sins they need to abandon.

You believe it's your job to reveal THEIR sin to them.

Don't think we're ever gonna see eye to eye on those approaches, but NO ONE is promoting sin. THAT is a false accusation.

In all sincerity have a blessed day!
Again accuse the righteous with false judgment while you rail against the right of other christians to make sound biblical judgment.. amazing the scriptures warn of this very thing...attack the righteous while you justify the wicked... this is the very nonsense I made this thread to adress...if you want evidence ...go look in the mirror

The reason I post here is because such sin is not condoned. If you want a forum with a gay agenda and promotion of premarital sex, living together, homosexuality and other disgusting stuff go to a Dutch 'christian' one. I'm a bigot there lol and when a guy with gay feelings asked for help I pm'd him, because otherwise you had a discussion about how it was totally normal and he needed to accept it, while he asked himself how he could get rid of it.

We once had a guy who wrotea letter if he could come to our church with his girlfriend, because the marriage was so expensive, so they lived together for a while and that church they now attended was so condemning. Can we come to your one?
Nope.
The answer he would have received from our church would have been to give him our address and directions to the building. We have no right, whatsoever, to deny someone access to come worship God with us.

We would probably pay for a ceremony for them if they really wanted to be married.

See the trick is that no matter how you try to adress this issue in a biblical way. . Certain folks are going to accuse you for even daring to expose the issue to the light of God's truth.

How do you justify calling yourself "righteous" when the Bible plainly states "None are righteous, no not one."?

No I'm not. Thankfully God is jealous towards me and would not allow me to go whoring after false gods.

I'd also have to answer for my treason against God if I went around promoting or condoning homosexuality, fornication or adultery.
Yes, and we are to have no pleasure in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Homosexuality, fornication, adultery are sins. We should not uphold them but reprove them.

I have actually heard people try and justify fornication by saying that it is a natural urge…and God understands. Now that belief is popular with the world. Who wouldn’t want to hear that they could just do whatever they want and still be saved? Same goes for the Gay agenda people have excused it off so much that it has become popular.

I don’t even think that most of the people who are engaging in gay lifestyles are even gay…It’s just taboo and popular with the world now-a-days. You can’t even turn a television on without seeing a man kissing a man or a woman kissing a woman. The devil and the world is trying to tell people that it is natural and there’s nothing wrong with it. Then add to that so called Christians and churches advocating for it, and you can see why some are confused and think that it’s ok to be gay.

I think it’s time for Christians to stand in the holy place and reprove sin.
Ephesians 5-13
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

How can they see clearly if it is not brought to the light? The light is the truth and the truth is the Word of God…

I must for once now correct you though
2 Cor 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Would you bet you little sister's life on flatly telling them "it is wrong?" Or would you say, "I understand the Bible to say it is wrong, why do you feel it is not?"

Then.......... (guessing how you, as a reasonable person, probably answered) why would you not enter into an understanding dialogue with them on the matter, rather than just telling them how things are? The conviction is supposed to be left up to the Holy Spirit, right?

Our task, as given to us by Jesus, is not to prove people wrong, humiliate and accuse them, and run them off... but to help them experience God's love, and lead them to want to please Him.

Show compassion and empathy when telling a homosexual person that their behavior is wrong according to your understanding of the Bible.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. (1 Cor 13:1 ESV)

The key to that verse is the last two words. As you might notice, you just quoted my Signature verse....... and I am only enjoying righteousness because of being in Him.

Big difference in how certain people here want it to be.

My goodness willie...have u read the new testament. Have you never read the righteousness of faith and walking in the Spirit? It's amazing folks would try to rebuke others and be so ignorant of New Testament doctrine
..some of you need to stop trying to teach others and listen to those who have some understanding of God's Truth

I agree that it should be done out of love and I really don't think anyone here is talking about going out and gay bashing others. I'm just saying Christians shouldn't condone it in any way, shape, or form...We are to lead others to Christ not mislead them in anyway.

So then...because of the righteousness of faith...we are not to uphold holiness? You guys talk in circles and don't even understand what point you think you are making

They didn't want to visit, they wanted to become part of the church and they were believers, not unsaved or just saved. We don't have money, so we tell people to do it cheap, you can even do it for free on some days and throw a party a year later. In the meanwhile don't live together. My ex got rebuked in front of a big church, because he kept trying to get premarital sex and I gave in. Different times I guess. That pastor knew nothing, but God showed him.

Understand that love picks up a whip and uses harsh words as well...
Understand that God and even the apostles killed people to defend God's church from evil people and ungodly influences. .. yes "love" defined by scipture ...not some pc agenda being sold to the church .

Yes.
I also understand that whips were used by Love on animals (oxen and sheep), not humans. (John 2:15)
